The irony of you not recognizing intrusive thought as a clinical label while confidently telling someone else to not criticize when they don't know what they are talking about. The degree of unearned confidence you are demonstrating is like a giant neon sign that says "mediocre white dude." Intrusive thoughts are deeply upsetting to the person having them and definitely not the kind of thoughts they would ever consider acting on. Impulsive thoughts, on the other hand, can be very tempting bad ideas. I think OP might agree that impulsive thought might be closer to accurate if we are going to appropriate medical language to describe a bird on KZbin.

My cat and my cockatiel used to do this lol! Taz would wait till Taji was asleep, sneak behind the cage, and tug the tip of Taji’s tail feather just enough to freak him out. Then, Taz would appear on the other side of the room rubbing against the wall like, “I don’t know what’s wrong with him Mom. I didn’t do nothing!” The next day Taji would lure Taz closer by singing to him only to rip out a whisker and laugh. And I’d be on the phone with my stepmom like, “STOP THAT! BOTH OF YOU!” They’d both get the deer in headlights look and sprint in opposite directions! “My goodness. They really are like kids…”
@deadgirl5805 Жыл бұрын
I love that they are friends. When I was little I had a parakeet and an indoor/outdoor cat who I assumed just ignored the bird, which I was grateful for. The birds cage was hung from the ceiling and one day I came home to find the cat hanging onto the cage which was spinning around like a ceiling fan. 😱 I immediately rehomed the bird and that very day it started doing one footed flips from his perch and singing😃 That poor thing must have been tortured by that cat because I'd never heard it sing before 🥺
@sarina76667 Жыл бұрын
@@deadgirl5805 Aw! Yeah. We are very lucky that Taji is very authoritative with the other animals and that the cats will actually listen. Our big male cat was very protective of the other animals when he was alive, but our female cat is very much a hunter. Taji cages are big enough that if he perches in the middle the cat can’t reach him. If she tries, he sings to her and flirts. It completely throws her for a loop and she’ll just sit and listen to him while she watches the outside birds. Once he’s got her, he can preen her fur through the cage. We never take him out around her now that she’s not a kitten anymore. We’ve tested her and she’s way too focused for our liking even if he still manages to charm into going belly up. “It’s a trap Taji. Don’t fall for that.” Flirty flirt flirt. “Okay. Nope. Back in the cage.”
