Enchanters Lair, so many secret areas and corridors that are easy to get lost in. And many players struggle with Nurgloth. Garden of Morr has so many spots to defend, good for some tactical advices. The Blightreaper sucks, maybe some tricks and secrets would make it more playable.

Even though it lowers the skill ceiling, you can't argue that Cloak of Mist is super fun and allows more players to enjoy killing stuff as shade

It is and it isn't. I frankly find it overpowered to such a degree that I genuinely think it takes out a lot of the fun. Because you simply don't have to worry about your ultimates cooldown O.o you can pretty much just invis away from anything which I don't personally find challenging and thus not fun. But that's just my take on it! :) I'm sure plenty of players find it enjoyable and thanks for watching!

@@ThePartyKnife btw: something I found recently, the heat refund on critical hits trait on sienna staffs does not require to actually hit an enemy to work, meaning up to 55% chance for casts to not generate heat. Edit: with pyro of course

Exquisite huntress is super fun btw, with dual daggers and a little skill you can keep stacks through hordes and special clearing for an insane damage boost when you can get a series of headshots on bosses, while still running CoM for consistent elite insta-kills

I do agree that it's an extremely interesting talent and I have on several occasions tried to figure out a way to take it from a fun build to a competetive one but unfortunately without success. That being said it's totally viable for QP and an all around fun mechanic so keep at it and thanks for watching!

Great video as usual! Shade was the first career I tried to focus on but had to ditch her, because I ... sucked. Now, after around 300 hours of playing, I am starting to get a feel for this game and its mechanics and contributing to the team 😬. Anyhow I am thinking Of trying out Shade again, but still have this noob-question: How hard should I try to get enemies from behind? In the beginning days I was obsessed trying tobtet behind them resulting me being stuck in shitty positions. Is there something like a rule-of-thump that I could follow in the beginning? I think the best rule of thumb is do it whenever you feel comfortable doing so. If you brian goes, hmm is this a good idea? Then It most likely isn't. I know that's not very concrete but what it really depends on is 2 things. Your ability to continuously proc vanish without ever accidentally leaving invis (since hitting a minion and not backstabbing it causes you to lose invis which then in turns causes all of the minions to turn around making it nearly impossible to re-trigger) and your ability to get out safely should you fail. Never try to backstab from inside other minions, it's better to use the full 5 seconds to get to the back of the back of the minions since the 4 seconds don't start until your first attack from your ultimate. Also it's a better idea to get the fuck out and having wasted an ulti (as hard of a choice as that is in the moment :P) than it is to get greedy and go for it anyways only to die somewhat embarrassingly. Yessssss I was waiting for this! Call me scum if you want, but I love running crit power, spear and mist. The spear just feels so good in my hands. I struggle with s&d. But I've been practicing your build as well for awhile now. I don't run cr or bark. I always seem to get dead anyway if I fuck up. It doesn't feel like it give me any more recovery window then boon.

How do you like Briar Javelin? I wanna try out shade a bit, and on hand maiden it seemed pretty good. Though I only tried it on Champion and Legend (I am fairly new to the game). Is there an inherent advantage of the long bow that I am not seeing?

Cloack of mist is one of the few build I use 40% crit damage and it melts everything, including monsters, like hot knife through butter.

Hey would you mind explaining how you are doing 5k damage to the training dummy on crits? Im new to this game and have a power of 571, and my crits do like 121at best. Is there some vital detail i have missed?

the last update made that dmg numbers are now showing correctly on dummys, for example a mouler on cata has like 160 hp i think. befor the last update it was showing some stupid high numbers like the 5k in the vid. hop i can help :D

@@C1umsyJester That is the correct way to go for armor dmg but the wrong way to go when using your ultimate. From ultimate on elites you often want to use Heavy 1 since that can backstab 2 enemies much easier and if you manage to proc vanish and stay invis you wanna cancel and do another heavy 1 attack as many times as possible until the 4 seconds of guaranteed critical hits are over. Then back to what you were already doing! :)

Shade is so broken now. Cloak of mist, yeah lets give highest DPS career WHC ulti but better + higher CDR than Slayer and even Handmaiden. And Vanish while not being too useful on Legend, is crazy OP on Cata+ and true solos. All of that being said, i'd argue that for Legend Blood Drinker and Ereth Kial are better for Cloak of mist builds. Blood Drinker with Barkskin makes Shade much better frontliner, and Ereth Kial just feels so good to use with spear + cloak of mist + concoction, lets you take 100% Halescourge HP in 4 seconds. And with longbow on legend i don't need Bloodfletcher.

Totally agree! That talent needs a SERIOUS nerf... Barely have to think about ulti CD because it's just non existent... As for the talents. I can sorta be with you on the blooddrinker talent but Ereth Kiral is in my opinion the single worst talent shade has aside from healshare. :D The only scenario it really benefits you are when you are attacking either a boss or a non-human sized enemy from behind which doesn't help the moment it turns around. That's just my take on it but as always I appreciate your honest opinion and thanks for watching! :)

It lets you oneshot CW with DD/SD, and kill CW much faster with spear/dual swords... and kill monster/lord much quicker. On Cata+ i sure think Vanish/Bloodfletcher is better, but on Legend Vanish ain't too good, since with all that power/dps you oneshot everything in front of you anyway, and longbow with conservative shooter = enough ammo anyway (for legend).

Nop. Been a very long time since I did! I did use to think %speed + %crit was best but these days (pretty much since cataclysm) Í've found the attack speed to be pretty unnecessary whilst block cost saves your life time and time again. Appreciate the question and thanks for watching!
