I hate it when doctors dismiss blood results as an infection,when you have absolutely no symptoms of that,and it keeps happening.Thank goodness for the doctor you knew,it's frightening to think how much a doctors attitude counts in your chance of diagnosis!Prayers for a full return to health.❤

This is incredible to have to fight for so long. I am also a retired nurse. I was diagnosed with CLL over Christmas. I have had UTI and raised White Blood Cells. I laid in my bed over Christmas and New Year. I vomited pain in my stomach trouble breathing and my chest sweating fatigue. I also had Epstein Barr virus and UTI then more blood tests confirmed CLL. I had the shingles vaccine and was covered in blisters. I feel so depleted and weak. Seeing the Hematologist in January. Thinking of you ❤

Interesting. I got diagnosed in 2016 with cll. Was on watch and wait 2 yrs then treated in 2018 for 6 months chemo and immunotherapy. Was in remission 7 yrs and now on Brukinsa tabs. I had a bone marrow biopsy in my drs office in May. Was painful. This Dec had one in hospital with CT image led biopsy with mild awake sedation. No pain and only 10 min. Good luck. So many new treatments keep up the spirit.

@RustyShakleford114 күн бұрын
@cipriandobrea7369 yes. Don't ask questions you don't wanna know the asnwer too. Pretty people get more attention, on average they make more money, get more raises, and people respond to them better its biology. We're programmed to respond positively to beauty to preserve it and help the good genes propagate

I wonder if there are people who choose to die of cancer rather than go bankrupt and lose their jobs. It seems like it would be very easy to give up especially if you are not very young and don't have kids depending on you.

I would say yes. We won’t ever know the number this side of heaven. I’m 65, both parents passed with dementia. I have had an undiagnosed illness that made me unable to work plus my memory has been declining for several years. I think if I had a terminal illness diagnosed I would consider it a blessing in disguise. Dementia is horrific for all involved. I have no children and that frees me up to just go to our real home with Jesus. I can still pray so that makes my life have meaning.

🙏🏼If you hadn't been a woman, you would not if been treated this way. It's NOT because a woman is having sweats and is exhausted, that she needs to be prescribed anti-depressants and brushed away, with courses of antibiotics, which seem to be the easy course of actions, when a doctor cannot find what's going on with a patient! People know their bodies. Especially women. And they have a powerful intuition!
@bigtuna952915 күн бұрын
I know a couple of men who went through similar experiences & they had to practically force their doctors to do something because the answers they were getting wasn’t doing one bit of good! One neighbor of mine actually went to a doctor in a neighboring state before they really listened to his problems AND took the appropriate steps to get to the bottom of his condition (in this particular case it was stomach cancer) I think the medical community as whole has become to complacent & dismissive to their patients & it’s a shame it’s almost like they have so many patients they can’t dedicate the time to each patient like they should!

You are not the first person I've run across that's been dismissed out of laziness in the name of that paycheck with no accountability. The maze presented is very hard to navigate for a Label. The System is bilking people and the Insurance Company's by Ignoring Neck Dislocations and Labelling the Complications. You are nothing but a paycheck in a System that forces millions onto the streets. All the way to Hospice? Till you get a Label? Being misled like most everyone else. Did anyone every take some accountability?

I'm not sure I understand your comment? I'm an oncology nurse and MANY patients with cancer have to work to eat, have shelter and insurance to get treatment. She says that she she was not eligible for financial assistance from the government so her family and friends stepped in. Why should she have to lose her home? She is strong and I hope for her sake and the sake of her children that she beats this!
