The Patient Story

2 күн бұрын

Initially dismissed as minor issues, Hannah experienced years of pelvic discomfort, reoccurring UTIs, and alarming symptoms like blood in her urine. After years of being told she was young and healthy, a CT scan revealed a mass on her appendix that ultimately led to her diagnosis.
In this cancer vlog, Hannah walks us through her harrowing experience, from a 12-hour surgery where her organs were combed for tumors to waking up and learning her ovaries and uterus had been removed. Despite the challenges of chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple hospital stays, Hannah remains resilient, advocating for herself and educating others on the importance of self-advocacy in the face of a rare and aggressive cancer.
Thank you, Hannah, for sharing your story to help others.

Hannah I’m so very proud of your strength and courage! You are in my prayers 💖 I just lost my baby brother to stage 4 liver cancer, but we knew from the beginning there was no hope for him. His Dr was treating him for gallbladder infections but unfortunately it turned out they were liver cancer. We never knew this until he ended up in the emergency room doubled up in severe pain. It was a long 3 years but he did everything they wanted him to try. It broke my heart to watch him grasp at the hope as he went from 180lbs to 121lbs, 😘. I miss him so much everyday. I begged him to go to a special hospital for cancer but he refused, he didn’t want to lose hope in where he was. You sound so positive I’m sure you will beat this, please keep us posted, 💖

Hannah, I've been following another patient who has the same diagnosis as you. He also has a KZbin channel "Paul in Perth". He's a wonderful guy, and I know he'd be happy to meet you (virtually) and share his journey with you, and you can share yours with him. Wishing you all the very, very best. ❤ Love from another cancer patient. xoxo

Dear Doctors, please stop gaslighting us and assuming because we’re young that nothing could potentially be wrong! Stop being lazy and treating us like a number! I swear not one of these stories has had a doctor diagnose correctly. 😡

How could any decent Doctor dismiss blood in your urine? Yes a UTI can produce a bit of blood tinged urine but actual blood in your urine stream like in the toilet bowl is a huge red flag for cancer. I'm so sorry you were brushed off and I'm sick of all the gaslighting Doctors do to young and old alike. Wake Up Doctors you need to start listening to your patients ! I'm sending my prayers to you Hannah and I wish you strength and courage on this difficult path.

This is one of the best videos I have seen-as well as being incredibly informative, it touched me very much. As a woman I think it is difficult to know what symptoms to pursue or ignore, as we are used to our bodies feeling different every day due to hormones and our cycles. Dealing with cancer has so many layers of hardship, so thank you for speaking so clearly and eloquently about your experience. Second opinions are so very important! Living life in a purposeful way is so important! I am hoping the best for you and the people surrounding you, who obviously love you so much!

Thanks for sharing your story! Once again I am hearing what I have heard in so many other stories: symptoms being dismissed because the patient “doesn’t fit the bill.” Why not change the approach and look at ruling out the worst case scenario first? And then work your way back to causes that may not result in such devastating outcomes because the window of opportunity for early diagnosis and treatment has come and gone?? Because of doctors’ negligence so many already get diagnosed as Stage IV. It’s infuriating!!

3. To Believe means to be persuaded or convinced Jesus is the Christ Christ means Messiah/Savior Jesus Christ is the Son of God He Saves people from Everlasting Death He Died on the Cross, was buried, and Rose again on the third day. He Conquered Death for all Humans, no matter who they are or what they have done or will do. Salvation If you believe that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), The Son of God, and that He gives you eternal life simply for believing in Him, you have eternal life (John 20:31; 1 John 5:1, 10-11). New King James Version John 6:47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 1 John 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him Once Saved Always Saved John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
