After not hearing from him all day at 5pm he called Todd Bowles and hey sorry his kid is sick and they had to go to this hospital and that’s why is why he never responded. When in reality he was with the jags all day. The jags can have him he’s a pos and snake and my guess the players will see it he will lose the locker room eventually

@Jaxboy863 күн бұрын
According to the wife he didn't lie about his kid being sick. I don't believe he was at the Jags facility "all day". Because I didn't hear him being at the Jags facility till late afternoon. Unless someone has evidence he wasn't with his sick kid earlier that day then it's really not right to call him a liar. But I'd also add Tampa has some blame. Giving ultimatums when you don't have the power to do so isn't right either. Almost like making him feel guilty for looking at a potential step up in the league. Either way Liam really didn't do anything wrong. Like they said he had the right to do what he did. Anyone would do the same.
@vTrilogyv3 күн бұрын

@vTrilogyv to be fair the situation changed. The operation is fluid. And things happen in day to day life. I don't think Liam was expecting Khan to fire Baalke literally the next day. @Ifoughtpiranhas3 күн бұрын
@@rballen Yep, "hostage" contracts definitely aren't based on good faith.
@OffensiveFarmer3 күн бұрын
@@rballen I don't think that was the case. Like Shefty said, in the NFL a coordinator always has the right to pursue a head coaching offer regardless of the contract they have with a team. It's the way NFL contracts are structured, every member of staff can always take a promotion with another team regardless of contract so the Bucs making Coen sign a contract that says he cannot take another interview with the Jags would simply not be legal. It sounds like Coen's camp made out that he felt strong armed into denying a 2nd interview with the Jags through peer pressure which in all fairness if that was the case then my opinion on this whole thing would change but as it stands all we know for sure is that Coen said he wasn't going to take the Jags gig, the Jags then fired their GM and Coen went back on his word (which at this point, im still fine with, changing circumstances and all that) but the way he did it behind the backs of the Tampa FO and lied about taking his kid to a doctors appointment when he was seeing the Jags just as i said, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Only the worst teams do things like this (ala browns). This would be the equivalent to an NFL team agreeing to a contract with a player. When that player shows up to sign, the team has him sit outside of the room and tell him the room is temporarily unavailable because someone inside is sick. The team then brings someone in from a back door, sign that person to a deal and they never tell the guy waiting what's happening. It is a pretty f'd up way of going about business.

But yes, society, telling someone one thing and doing another is basically lying. It’s still a bad thing.
