Zeto should’ve had a talking point since he’s a Bears fan. Simple.
@GuyNAustin3 күн бұрын
There are two important points I don’t hear anyone talking enough about. The first point is simply that a very significant majority of the roster never wanted a QB change, and wanted Justine Fields to remain the Bears QB. The team believed Chicago should have traded that #1 pick for a pile of draft capital to build around Fields. So, when the decision was made to trade Fields, and draft Williams, Caleb was already in a tenuous situation regarding winning over the locker room, right out of the gate. And the only way he was going to accomplish that is to play up to the hype. But the very worst situation happened instead. He’s playing like crap. And if you don’t think Bears players aren’t quietly grumbling as they compare Williams to Jayden Daniels (who the Bears could have picked, that is playing lights out, like a generational talent for Washington) then you aren’t thinking. Worse yet, the Bears get their ass kicked by a not so great Patriots team, led by the #3 pick, Drake Maye! To say this is the very worst nightmare/horror story imaginable for Caleb (and the Bears) would be the understatement of the century. It couldn’t get much worse. The second point is, what we see from Caleb is exactly what the scouting report spoke of regarding his tendency to hold the ball too long. This issue had to be considered, and someone had to believe they could coach him up, and fix that deadly flaw. And if they didn’t have a plan in place to do that, then everyone should be fired, right up to the GM. This disastrous tendency to hold the ball way too long for success at the NFL level had to be (or should have been) the number one concern, and a plan in place to fix it. This should not be a surprise for anyone.

Waldron deserves to be fired for having an undisciplined rookie sit in a pocket waiting for receivers to get open. A smart OC would get that ball out of Caleb's hands 3 out of 4 plays, instantly. Its a cricle of destruction. Oline is bad and injured to all hell, Caleb confidence is shot right now and not trying to mess up and get hurt so he hesitates,Waldron couldnt run an offense or actually dial up plays to beat the blitz.

I really don't understand why fans, sports media,shows and some nfl teams don't realize that there is a small amount of players that play the exact same way in the NFL that they did in college. Nfl is a whole new world, and Chicago is turning Williams into another Justin Fields situation all over again by throwing him to the wolves day one because he's a #1 pick. Firing coaches and coordinators in mid-season is definitely not going to fix s***. The damage is clearly done already. If the OC was so bad, then whoever hired him should be looked at as well for making the hire.

Caleb Williams doesn’t have the skills to be successful in the NFL, (accuracy and processing time)…. That and he is weak minded. If prospects come out college that are super athletic and not accurate, they will not make it in the NFL! Take Joe Milton for example, he’s huge, has good mobility and a cannon. But his accuracy isn’t at the level required for NFL defenses.

Williams needs to start running the ball. Take a look and take off. Bears need to figure out an oline. Look at the Nate Davis situation(bum) it’s obviously ab Oline issue. Has been for years. Caleb is a stud. Bring in Olin Kruetz!

I maintain that if the Bears had kept Justin Fields and given him all the talent that they've given Caleb Williams, they would be in a lot better shape, at least 7-2 instead of 4-5 ( missing the playoffs! Anyway, since they did trade Fields ( Big mistake), I would have drafted Daniels instead of Williams, a finger nailed painting quarterback who can't throw accurate passes. Caleb Williams has the same Flaws that Justin had, only Williams is a smaller, less athletic version of Fields. Even when Fields made a mistake in the passing game, he made up for it because he has the speed and athletic ability to break a 60 yard TD run. Caleb Williams can not do that! Bears GM Ryan Poles should have kept QB Justin Fields and built around him!!!

The main reason the offense stinks is for the same reason it has for the last 10 years. Bears 🐻 always shop on the bottom shelf for offensive linemen who are rejects from other teams. You get what you pay for. No OC or QB can be successful in that situation. It’s a constant revolving door of coaches and QBs in Chicago and the common denominator is ownership. The McCaskeys need to sell the team because they don’t deserve fans like Bears 🐻 fans.
