Hi Paul. Great video. Interesting times ahead. Congratulations on the award. I hope I get to one of your fantastic shows later on this year. Keep the videos coming. I do have on question though. I recall your 2 Halloween specials from my younger days and was wondering if they are available to buy from anywhere

Thank you very much for the insight view on your actual work! Im just starting with practicing some umgimmicked close up magic. Its very impressive to see how you build your art on your own! The idea for the show 2015 sounds very interesting. All the best for 2015!!

i have an Uncle trevor who is good at cabinet making, ran his own business for years, and also has a garage full of similar machines. Based in Yorkshire and looking to fill his time with things other than restaurant fit-outs, retractable seating etc. Intimate venues; I saw Jerry Sadowitz at Halifax, and that was nice and intimate. Saw him back stage and I told him i could see the 50p go under the hat. He said 'oh... did you see the Melon go under?' "no." "that's ok then.' And signed my poster...

I've just been looking at the comments, and will say that a live performance to me seems to be even better than Television. Have seen Paul, Ken Dodd, Mick Miller, The Grumbleweeds, Barron Knights and tons of musical acts. The atmosphere of a live auditorium with a good entertainer is out of this world. And That's Magic!

Hi Paul. Small, intimate venues. May I suggest Selby Town Hall? I'd be able to walk and see you!

I took my kids to see you and your better half last year at the Crewe Lyceum. The best bit for us was when my 3 year old, sitting on my knee, laughed at a joke nobody else did. You called him a ventriloquist's dummy and thanked me for laughing. You said in the show your bandaged finger was a rabbit bite. I get it now from seeing this video - you must have been making a rabbit cut with the table saw. (Bad pun even for a woodworker)

Hi Paul, I am a children's entertainer/ magician based in Hastings East Sussex who is just starting out. Any advice on how to best to self advertise?
@thepauldaniels9 жыл бұрын
SEXMACHINE 1 There are now SO many ways to advertise. If you decide to go the online advertising route you MUST limit the amount of hits you will accept or you can get a HUGE bill. Dribble adverts out in every space you can and keep records of which ones pay off.

are there any magic tricks you don't know how they are done?/what is your favourite magic trick be it your own or someone elses?
@thepauldaniels10 жыл бұрын
There must be some I don't know, but I can usually work out a method. I don't have a favourite... I love all magic when it is well done.

I have a spot open on my stage in Milwaukee WI at the Next Act thatre Aug 24th - the 30th Tickets go on sale soon. ;) Think the Houdini Club Convention maybe going on at that time as well. Just an open offer to all magicians! Rock on! ;)

If you had no prior knowledge to building illusions, where would you start. We sold those table saws in B&Q when I worked there. I knew nothing about DIY, but bluffed my way through it when customers asked me questions. I used to read the information on the boxes or the how to leaflets. Then they thought I was very informative & helpful which made me laugh.

I did manage to put a bookcase together for someone & wire up my own cooker. My skills are improving.

Steven Holt I'd go to www.pauldanielsmagicshop.com and type Illusions into the search box. Then I'd plough through all the links looking for books on how to build 'em. Like www.pauldanielsmagicshop.com/seven-basic-secrets-of-illusion-design-by-eric-van-duzer-book.html or @classics-illusions-1-paul-osborne.html. I'd pick one and REALLY study the plan/design and see if I could 'make it mine'.

I never heard of hada and looked it up. I googled it and for some reason, "Magic The Gathering" cards popped up as well as images of the faerie. Very interesting. Yeah, unfortunately when something in created, some people will put out cheap copies. Very sad that people do this.
