I'm not too sure how you learned to create soundscapes like this. You've become the ambient effect wizard of KZbin, it's totally fascinating stuff. Your videos are mesmerizing. Good work!

It's easy. Mess around with pedals for a decade instead of actually learning to play your instrument. Then frantically try to catch up later actually learning your instrument 😂Thanks for the kind words, man. It's beyond kind of you. I'm just stoked that y'all find value in these tonal explorations. If you did, then please consider subscribing (if you haven't already done so), or maybe liking or sharing the video with a friend. Honestly, every single piece of engangment goes such a long way. This thing sounds EPIC. Nerd moment: I'm no physicist, but I know the Coriolis Effect commonly refers to the forces generated by the fact that the Earth is constantly rotating. It affects things like ocean currents and air flow patterns, causes cyclones like hurricanes to rotate the way they do, and must be taken into account with extreme range ballistics. Like when firing a projectile over 50 miles or so, the landing site of the object will actually move while its in flight due to the Earth's rotation. This pedal is very swirly, so it seems appropriate to me :)

Interesting how they named it after something employed by Snipers to adjust for the curvature of the earth at long range. I love the way it creates swirling reverberations and delays and then crunching octaves. This is more than a pedal, it's something from the dark side, the light side and Jimmy's left brain.
@voyagerabove40345 жыл бұрын
It's probably more inspired by its relation to weather.

So Beautiful! I love all the tape goodness...the stops, the stutters ...although, I do agree that it was taken further a little bit. ...Maybe V2 will be coming out in a few years? I think it's worth it for the controlled tape stop effects alone. ...does the expression pedal do anything to control the length of the stutter?
@thepedalzone5 жыл бұрын
Happy you enjoyed the demo! No, the expression doesn't affect the Hold effect. The Hold effect reacts differently depending on how you play though. If you play a quick single note and press hold, then you will get a glitchy stuttery Hold effect. If you play a sustaining chord and press Hold, then you will get more of a sustaining pad-like drone 👍

I fully explain the pedal’s features, and write in the on-screen text what the pedal does at given moments. It does filtering, pitch-shifting and freeze/hold effects. All which are shown in the demo. I like to create context for a pedal, and the Coriolis Effect is truly a collaborator. It performs best in a chain of effects. But if you want to hear it in a more isolated scenario, then go and check out Andy Martin’s demo 👍 Thanks for watching.
