This journalist is young and, although clearly naive, seems to have the intention to increase all of our awareness, including their own, from a place of unbiased observation. I commend the effort and suspect this journalist may encounter some unexpected enlightenment along the way. I look forward to seeing more. :)

He's not that young. I remember his 40th birthday.

I think he may have started out a bit naive but he’s been really getting out there into the nitty gritty of it including camps being bulldozed. I’m a mutual aid worker for the unhoused and was with this camp almost daily before it was blitz bulldozed at 5am and these people trusted him to tell their truth. That’s not an easy thing to attain. All of these people interviewed are good people with a really traumatic back story, many from their entire childhood. Brandon is genuinely interested in finding the beauty in humanity. I too look forward to coming episodes!

Watch his documentary “The Wall” if you haven’t.

He's been traveling and putting together interviews, articles, and documentaries for at least a dozen years. He's got a really interesting portfolio ranging from Cuba to Tanzania to China; the rural deep south, Honduras, Alaska, homeless camps on the West Coast. And I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

I've watched The Wall countless times. And sane with these new docs. This filmmaker is awesome and I want to see part 3. Great music, great tempo and drama that builds a fantastic picture into these lives. I get upset at a lot if these people but I also respect the genuine ones.

…not to mention every enclosure constructed is a fire hazard. Really don’t see why they have to be uprooted and removed every few months or whatever. This old guy providing the propane has that gift of compassion and empathy, and happens to have means to give a little bit of heat and lights to these folks and has no expectations. Just a good soul with a pure heart. Completely unselfish act of kindness that allows them to retain some dignity and humanity. Lights and heat. Something I feel I’ve definitely taken for granted.

Yeah, there is this awful game being played in the city--to this day--where they tear down a camp, only to have campers move to another block. Just pushing the problem around without addressing it head-on.

It amazes me. They provide toilets for these people and they disrespect the effort. The camp has trash everywhere. And they wonder why people don’t want them in their communities. I sympathize, but c’mon. This is just utter laziness.

I agree. I was once homeless, but I dressed and behaved as if I lived in a mansion. I've never slept on the streets. Instead, I made use of the shelters and their services. Unfortunately, most homeless people prefer their drugs and degenerate lifestyle over being a civilized, responsible adult.

I was a "HOMELESS PERSON", Not "HOMELESS HOODLUM" DIFFERENCE!! In "Fort Worthless Tx" for 3-years: And it is "PURE UNADULTERATED HELL!!" I'm NOT into "DRUGS, WEED, BOOZE, STEALING, or even PANHANDLING" and won't be. Putting "HOMELESS" in: "JAIL" (TEXAS), "PRISON" (TENNESSEE), "TICKETS" (OKLAHOMA), "FINES" (TEXAS), Will "NEVER" be a solution. What's needed is: "AFFORDABLE HOUSING" (And not for the "DONALD TRUMPS" of AMERICA, "ODD JOBS" ( For those of us who are not allowed to work due to "HANDICAPS"), "DECENT HEALTHCARE" (For those of with MAJOR/MINOR HEALTH PROBLEMS, both PHYSICAL and MENTAL), "DRUG REHAB CENTERS" (More accessible), "LAND" (For those who want to be outside), "MORE POLICE PATROL" (To keep the peace).

Can’t take a break from fent. Get way too sick. It’s a life thing. He’s exactly right. I speak from experience. No offense but the interviewer is just a bit naive.
