Honeymoon stage has been over for a year now and we have graduated to a healthy marriage stage and are learning and striving to be true loving partners. Communicating, understanding, compromising, apologizing, forgiving quickly, supporting has been key. I love her today more than ever, but we are not in the honeymoon stage. Things got real real quick and we were mature and aware.

Thanks for the info! It's great info. ...although I almost switched it off as the video doesn't start talking about the content until about 6mins. If you're seeking shorter videos that are still capturing the attention it'd be awesome if it started off with the content and then talked about your courses super briefly at the end of the video or mentioned that you can find the details in the bio. Your content is interesting and precise- it's the advertising of the extra courses etc that drag it out- I'm not interested in hearing about someone's courses until I've heard them speak on a subject that they're teaching- yet after you've spoken about it and I can see how knowledgeable you are then I am interested. However this is only one perspective and unsolicited feedback from an audience member so please just take it as that and do with it as you will 😊 Keep doing what you are doing and helping grow people's minds!!!

avoidants scare themselves and I guess have to self protect-walls come down and they need to build walls again becasue they dont feel comfortable feeling such strong emotions-they begin to lose themselves so they pull out and bolt-leaves the person crushed-and they leave without any thought at times-they can be selfish and have narsasistic tendencies-although tells a sad story from thier childhood-most were abused. anyone agree???

can you do a video on attachment styles and how they affect your parenting? one of the reasons i was doubting my DA so much was the fear of him being a father one day and not be able to respond to his Childs emotional needs.
@emotophobiccdd8006
@emotophobiccdd8006 4 жыл бұрын
As a da myself, this seems wise. For as many generations back as we're aware (about 5, I think) all the males on my dad's side of the family had no father present. It would be no exaggeration to say that any exchange of feelings between me and him are phobic. They literally always have been completely nonexistent . Same for my siblings. That said, my brother's kids are grown, and 2 outa 3 turned out to be very emotionally well adjusted. Probably more healthy than average. The 3rd is, hmmm, I'm not really sure. Unhappy, but wouldn't be that hard to change. I think that things have festered to a point where it's absolutely in our faces, and we're just not going to pass it on. Myself, having been through sexual abuse, in my mind, I'm all awkward & homophobic regarding any physical contact with boys. And I only think about wanting girls, because I'm very comfortable with that. But when I'm around kids, while there's still some bias, surprisingly, it mostly makes almost no difference. In my current state, I think of myself as being a disaster for a partner - which would affect kids - but only ever surprise myself at how emotionally available I am when I'm around kids. I feel like I could do pretty good. That said, I don't have any...and invariably surprise myself at how different things are in the real world. So rather than have kids and HOPE, I'd absolutely get on top of this one first!

You're so valiant about selling the value of the power struggle phase, but I've never had a good experience in that phase of a relationship ever. In fact, it's what makes me mostly choose to just stay out of relationships altogether. The power struggle really doesn't seem worth it- and even the tips and tools all seem like too much work unless you're with someone secure. If you're with a DA, forget it, just get out. They'll suck you dry during this phase and leave like they never even knew you.

I’m sorry but if you’re going to date somebody for two years before you get married no I don’t think that’s normal development I don’t think that has anything with attachment styles. I am 56 years old. I don’t need to take that long to make a decision as you at 36 or 26. I know myself very well and I know what I’m looking for. I also know a lot more about life so I wouldn’t need to take two years to decide to marry somebody. It doesn’t take that long period to decide to marry someone!

I’m 60 and for some people it DOES take a long time… wounds show up at various times and in various ways thruout a relationship. I’m going on 1.5 years in my relationship and we are just hitting power struggle stage and I’m assessing how well we can navigate this stage to determine if we have the skills to navigate a lifetime…

FA here, when dating I find a DA is unlikely to meet my physical and emotional needs. So I'll meet them elsewhere. For me exclusivity can be a painful trap and I go into starvation which is actually dangerous. There are definately people out there for whom exclusivity works. If Im dating someone who doesnt take ownership of my relational needs, I will not commit to exclusivity for my own sanity and happiness. Just providing insight into my side of the tracks. Good luck dating

Okay so I pulled this video up because you keep referencing this stuff in other videos and I'm trying to get to what the heck they mean but we're 3 minutes in you're using these words all over the place and you still haven't find any of them. I would appreciate if your intros were much shorter, like 1 or 2 minutes, because I get bored and uninterested before you're even get to the important parts. You make great points in your videos, but it's difficult to stay until the end because if this. Alternatively, add a time mark (00:00) in the video description that marks the end of the intro. Thanks!

I like the video and your channel. Very informative! But it feels like you want to fit all your knowledge into one video and teach everything you know so I lose the main topic often. So in the end of the video would be cool to have some resumed info or maybe you could try to write a scenario or speech plan before making a video so your speech would be more constructive 👍

Constructive criticism: trust your ability to explain these concepts. You repeat yourself a lot and it feels unrehearsed. There is so much good information here but you easily could’ve explained the 6 stages in half the time. I’ve had this problem with your other videos as well. I would love for you to try and make a video that doesn’t feel like you’re thinking it through on the fly.
