I find the vocal range of these guys amazing... My grandfather's dachshund had a very high, yippy bark (and could be quite vocal), while the therapy dachshund at my middle school sounded like his vocal chords belonged to a German Shepard or one of the other large breeds--but I think I only ever heard him bark once or twice.

LOL, funniest thing ever, I was watching this vid in bed while my husband is sleeping beside me. Our big about 60kg + Rhodesian Ridgeback Labrador mix was sleeping beside us and heard the puppies barking so let out a huge loud bark and my husband got such a fright he almost fell out of bed. LOL.

My miniature dachshund loves bigger critters, he'll run around with all the big dogs during Thanksgiving and fight them for the tennis ball. When we take him out to see the cows, he'll run up to them and bark acting all tough, but when one investigates my dachshund will lick the cow's nose. When we took up him up north to see snow taller than him, he discovered elk and chased an entire herd while wearing a Christmas sweater.

Thank you! I laughed so much while watching this video! It's also the best dachshund video I've seen, as the cuties are not forced to do anything that would hurt them, e.g. holding them up straight. Vets say they're not supposed to jump though, as it would hurt their fragile backs. Merry Christmas!

They are such energetic babies, my sister used to have one (a miniature one to be exact). He was a really playful and friendly dog too bad he died so soon. For context he had to be put on a surgery and the vet recommended my sister to put him on it earlier it seemed all fine after the surgery until he started to suffocate while my sister was driving him back home.
