The paint will seal the materials from cooking smells, smoke(cause we all eventually burn something when cooking) and grease penetrating. I had a spot in my kitchen I did t paint cause I thought I'd have the tile up soon ,( then life happened) and even though not close to stove it did get discolored from cooking stuff lingering in the air.

Billy, I’m an archaeologist. Those beads are from the early 17 century and were most likely produced for the North America trade. These are small glass rods - blown like straws - with a hollow centre. Then they are cut into beads. Any archeologist in your area should be able to use those beads as an effective dating tool. Beads are very specific to manufacturers and time period. Wh

I’ve imagined you converting the basement into a wine cellar shop. Perfect location. Guests who may not have the time or interest to travel to wine regions can buy a few bottles from your cellar. And of course a winery providing a special convent blend. The drawings you are printing would make beautiful labels and tell the history of the region and chateaus across France.

The last couple of minutes on the find made me think whether you had already considered for a space that was tricky to decide what to do with, whether you considered a convent history "museum room" or maybe a small display/s in each room of what was found there or just outside. Updateable if lots found and maybe how the convent served the community in the past if it may be used for community events in the future, which I think was mentioned in one of the videos this week. Maybe the last one
