I worked at Dart Container in Leola many years. It was a nightmare at quitting time (8am) to get down through there. Glad I moved closer to Lancaster city. The touristy stuff is just tooooooo much. There's an Amish guy near my house that comes into town on his electric scooter. Lots of Amish ride by my house on their buggies. The farms are nice to hit when the produce stands or greenhouses are open.

I visited last year (from AZ) & went to Shady Maple Smorgasbord and was surprised to see a huge horse stable parking for the buggies. At least 4 times the size of one you filmed.

The film "Witness" was filmed on my buddy's Grandmother's farm in 1984. Her place is down 340 about 3 1/2 miles from Intercourse. God I hate when people pronounce Lancaster like it's two different words, Lan CASter. It's pronounced as if the second a is a u, Lancuster by the locals. Rt. 340 where you took the majority of your scoot is my main way of getting from Harrisburg to the Philadelphia when I don't feel like paying the ransom on the PA Turnpike. I can't believe you missed the old joke of "You have to go through Intercourse to get to Paradise. But if you go to far you'll end up in Bird in Hand or worse Blue Ball."

I'm from Philly and live here now... not Intercourse, I live down in Safe Harbor.. and what you said about it being dark AF... it is so dark you won't even see your hand in front of your face! When I first moved in with my now husband, I'd get home from work at night and I'd call him to please either come get me or turn on some lights! F that shyt! 😂 my stepson would be like, so you'll walk the streets in Philly at night but not here? Umm? Hell yeah! At least I'd see what the hell was coming at me!😂

To finish the trilogy of PA road trips after visiting Blue Ball and Intercourse, you need to drive up to Climax, Pennsylvania. Gorgeous area but in the middle of nowhere.

I appreciate your feedback on your videos; however, the town's pronunciation is accurate. Pennsylvania possesses numerous uniquely spelled locations. The pronunciation aligns with that of actor Bert Lancaster, although the spelling differs. Paradise, Pennsylvania, also exists and features an excellent railroad museum offering train rides. The "two tickets to Paradise" joke is indeed a classic. I recommend visiting Dutch Wonderland with your grandson during the summer months, although exploring the back roads offers a more enjoyable experience. My residence is situated between Lancaster and Chester Counties in Morgantown, Berks County, Pennsylvania. While Mennonites initially settled in Philadelphia, the prevalent dialect in this region is Swiss German, rather than the High German spoken historically in Philadelphia. Regarding the "Amish Mafia," that is a misconception; I am familiar with an individual from this area who has been misrepresented. This warrants further discussion at a later time.

Huge mostly dead outlet mall just south of there (Rockvale outlets), big empty parking lots to scoot around, but probably only 5 minutes of content there. The area you were in is probably the best for scooting, all the places south of there you have to drive 5 or 10 minutes between the tourist stops.

Yo Cap. Born and raised Five Points in Philly. We have lived in Englewood, FL for the last ten years and enjoying the 80F and sunny today.😎 About 30 miles above us in Sarasota, FL is a huge Amish and Mennonite community. Instead of horse and buggy here, they ride 3 wheeler bikes everywhere. It's hilarious. They are great people though and make a good living in the construction and restaurant industry here. Enjoy all your vlogs. I miss the Philly accent here. Every pub and restaurant they green peppers on cheese-steaks here too. WTF!
