Thanks for making this follow up video. I was horrified when I watched your looting one last nite but to see the aftermath today almost makes me want to cry. It’s not the big wigs of the companies that are gonna suffer. I would imagine they have a shit ton of insurance & my guess is it would cover the cost to get the stores back up & running. It’s all the people who actually work in the stores & their families that are gonna be the ones to suffer. I don’t know anything about how that works but I’d think they would be able to collect some unemployment or maybe they’d still get their regular pay? I feel really bad for all the little stores that got hit like Great Nails, & jewelry store. I hope they’re able to recover. My biggest question is WHY the Dollar Tree? I’m not a professional looter. I don’t know a thing about the art of looting but if I was a looter my first instinct would be to hit up places with valuable merch & not a dollar store lol. I think most stores are supposed to empty their registers after closing & the money is locked in a safe somewhere. I never worked retail so I’m just guessing here. If there’s gonna be another nite of this bullshit I just really hope & pray the city is prepared & ready to take whatever action they need to protect themselves, the city & all its residents. @broken sword well, considering the police is a brotherhood, fraternity, I highly doubt that would happen. The problem comes when non protesters, common criminals like the ones "looting", are given free range to do so, and the local government does nothing to try and prevent this from happening again especially since just 4 months ago the very thing happened. When the local and state governments don't act in the best interest of the wider constituency, and matters are to the point of utter chaos, then I would suggest martial law. Furthermore, the National Guard was stationed at and near City Hall, none were sent to or near Aramingo Avenue.

It was eerily quiet that day. I went to work. I didn't tape anything tho. I was going to put my phone in the window of the car cause I was all over the city for work.

I could sympathize with people that are truly oppressed, and resort to stealing/looting in order for their family to survive. These people are looting beauty salons and shoe stores. Gimme a break! Respect for their plight, -10.

@P B equal opportunity to loot?
@robertmendick31954 жыл бұрын
If I remember right, during the last looting spree several months before, some of those strip malls had citizen volunteers on the rooftops armed with rifles. Those stores didn't get looted. After that event, the mayor, DA, and police commissioner strongly condemned the armed volunteers and said they would not tolerate such "vigilantism" in the future. The armed "vigilantes" were not present this time and the stores got looted.
@ThePhillyCaptain4 жыл бұрын
That’s not true there were many stores that had armed protection in front of their businesses.

Some stores had armed business owners and some stores had a few guys protecting a spot in a group

@@ThePhillyCaptain Thank God that that's something I'm wrong about. I am from the suburbs and have friends in that area I visit frequently. We visited those businesses quite a few times shopping and for a bite. I hope they are able to recover and reopen for business.

The motorcycle shop never gets touched for a reason they are protected. If anyone cares I am seeing a lot of rumors in these comments that are 100% not true. There was media covering this. I saw it first hand. CBS News and other local channels. The videos are on KZbin There were not busses of people getting dropped off. I definitely saw armed security was the best protection. I hope everything opens back up. I doubt it will happen

This is the result of anger and lack if moral compass. Most young people and yes older ones don't believe in God. So any excuse is used to do what they want, this is America! and we must be accountable for raising are children and watch are behavior. Yr video shows more of the destruction then the media but un less the heart of the issues are addressed more mayhem might come. This area is one of my favorite places to shop I feel for the employees that work in these stores to feed thier families. May God keep and Bless them.
