Your tutorials are great, thank you! One suggestion: Since many changes are subtle and the KZbin algorithm suppresses the details, show the before and after situation for each change. That way, we can better recognise the small but important changes on the screen. Kind regards, Uli

Thank you so much Uli and thanks for the suggestion! I'll try my best to show the the results of these tiny adjustments in the future, sometimes I just forget it and go on with the editing :-)

@@ThePhlogPhotography I understand that if you show the before and after changes at each and every step, this is a repetitive and boring step for you in the production of the video. As for your motivation: It's not boring for us. We see the changes more clearly, which keeps us in your videos for longer.

Another great edit! For the longest time I would just watch the videos. I found that I was not retaining what I learned. Lately, I have been editing the image while watching the video. It takes much longer to get through but I am retaining so much more. Keep up the great work.

I was referring to the edges of any image to which you apply your own method of sharpening. The edges are getting ragged, ugly! Can't you see that? Try "high pass..." or something else. The results will be better. It is not possible to apply the same method of changing the sharpness to all images. You work great with the image in Camera RAW. I use a lot of your videos in my work. Thanks! But the sharpening... Try something different.

Well, of course you can switch over to Photoshop and apply different sharpening there, but this is a LR tutorial with limited sharpening options (plus usage of masks to enhance sharpness through contrast). I'm very happy with the outcome of the LR sharpening and never had any issues so far (when looking at the prints or digital). If edges arent looking good to you, then you should use a different technique, nothing wrong with that!

It's a great reason to stop sharpening (especially in your tutorial) in a program with limited sharpening capabilities. Camera RAW is a great way to work with masks and developing images and you're the best of the best in this work. Ps and Lr Camera RAW best for reduce noise with AI, but in sharpness ... sorry, it is a game in a children's sandbox.

I'm sorry, but this is the most terrible way to make an image sharper. Look closely at the edges...

Yes, as I mentioned in the video the "white edges" you can see are actually frozen / icey tree branches and are not due to the sharpening. Anyway, if you dont think this approach is useful, no one is forcing you. I'm happy with how my photos are turning out
