Very nice. I noticed you didn't check the noise level generated by the increase in exposure and contrast on the mountains. Maybe, some of it could be formed?.....

Christian, can you give some advice on how many images to take and what the exposure difference (+/-0.3, +/-1.0 e.g.) between each shot?

Hey, thanks for the question! If you want to be save go with 5 shot exposure bracket and 1-2 stops between each, I had the best results applying it this way!

Christian, I am so grateful for your explicit illustration! So beautiful! I have difficulty understanding, or I have to say I am confused with Colour Mixer and Colour Grading sometimes, for instance in today’s presentation of icy and snowy conditions. How to make a strict separation of these two items? Thank you in advance.

Thank you Nancy for your comment! With the Color Mixer we can target specific colors which are alread in the image (the blues of the sno for example) and adjust its hue, the saturation and the brightness. With the color grading tool (split toning) we can add specific colors to highlights, mid-tones and shadows and adjust the saturation to get the desired effect

Hi One offtopic question. When you use bracketing, do you use 3 or 5 images usually?. What difference in light, 1 stop or 2? Thanks ever so much
@ThePhlogPhotographyКүн бұрын
Hey thanks for the question! Usually, I go with 5 images just to be save, but 3 shot be more than in enough in most cases. Pretty much going +2, 0 -2 stops all the time :-)

Your tips are always so useful - thank you. One thing i am frustrated with is the sort preferences under the view tab in LR classic. I set it to "file" each time but it always reverts back to "capture time" next time I open the program. do you know of any way to make it stick permanently to "file"? Thanks.

Really sad that so many are shooting landscapes in cell phone mode. Sad that you have given into the influence of cell phones in photography. Should be a designation as to whether you have caved to social media or still respect classic photography. Wonderful editing skills but no consideration for classic photography.

Wait, you can't shoot a landscape scene in portrait orientation? Why? So many rules in photography for a beginner to learn.

What is wonderful is that Christian has chosen to share his expertise in Lightroom editing techniques regardless of what someone snaps a picture with. Another great video Christian 👍 Thank you!

What? Vertical images have been a thing long before social media.
