Great edit, thank you. One question though: why did not you get rid of the awful halo on the left side of the animal (right in the picture). Thank you. 10:54

Thanks for the comment! You mena to the left of its face? thats actually not a halo, its just light and shadow that kind of looks like a halo :-)
@majorferenc70379 ай бұрын
Thank you for your reply. What I mean is the halo at the separation of the complete left bodyside of the animal from the background (right hand side of the photo), which came up when darkening the background. But never mind, I come across the same phenomenon regularly during editing and spend long minutes to eliminate it and sometimes a complete elimination is impossible …

Mind blowing...i believe, you must have clear idea wht you want , so you can maintain your work flow, knowing different editing functions won't work. Ultimately it's an art! ... love your way of explanations❤❤❤

The right edge of the tiger does not look right/natural after editing. I think that might be a problem with the masking.

Christian, What a majestic king of the forest is created by you! The tiger is getting more energetic and valiant with your fantastic colour grading and post processing performance. It is hard to get a beautiful photo of wildlife that you have achieved because of their constant motion in nature. I am thankful for your wonderful work behind it. I am wondering if you cloud share with us how the camera settings that you prefer for capturing wildlife. I am very grateful for that. Great thanks to you for today’s brilliant presentation!

Thank you so much for the kind comment! So, for this shot I used very high ISO and aperture to be able to use a very fast shutter speed and get the subject sharp and in focus. This is highly dependend on the light situation. This was a super dark place, so I had to turn up ISO and aperture to achieve fast shutter speeds with a tele lens!

Great. Now, what needs to be done when you have those blurry chain link fence portions from the zoo shot !

Nice tutorial. I liked the way you treat light and shade, but my problem with techniques that rely on the subject and background auto-selection for wildlife, is anything with longer or shaggier fur, the selections are so bad as to be useless for anything but the most subtle changes. To be frank, even Ps more advanced selection tools don't really handle animal fur very well.

A little too much color separation. Tooo much is too much. But not bad
