Poor Sasha, she had quite a workout today, but in the end I think she was understanding what Sam wanted from her. I like the way she calms down and tries to learn in her classroom. The grass was a nice treat after her shower, every little thing has a reason, rewards for doing well.

The horse is incredibly smart you can tell she's processing. Getting her in shape is like any athlete. You have to put in the work and gradually increase the reps. The workout today was all good for this young horse.

Hi. Sam, I see you are wearing "Ride Safe Helmet" by Resistol. Did you received your helmet in all white or it had the helmet part in black? If it was white, from which store did you buy? I have purchased mine but it came with black plastic ABS Shell part.

You should be using a mounting block. Some people do think it is weird when you can't get onto your horse in a western saddle without, but for this, you are hanging off the side of her and pulling the saddle down. This pulls on their back and can cause back problems from what I've heard. You should also have a mountain block in case while you are standing in the stirrup and she spooks, you can step down instead of looking like a trick rider. Also, relax with the whip. She doesn't need to be chased with the whip when she is not misbehaving at all. Although, you aren't actually hitting her, just release pressure with the whip a little when she listens.
