Hello Marina, this is great work you do. I am going to try the Bach , fortunately found it. I had , in my childhood , very bad teacher ...I hated to go to piano...Teacher forced me to learn modern pieces I did not understand *even now) . She also had sharp heels and taught me pedal by stepping on my vamps ...I still have scar there. I asked my father that I really do not want to be there .After almost 4 years , I won , released from piano lesson....Many years passed , my father passed away and I am now listening your lessons and playing Chopin a bit...for me and him. Thank you and sorry for long spam :-)

I'm so sorry that you had an unpleasant introduction to piano lessons! I hope that you will enjoy playing for as long as you wish.

Did you ever make a video on sight reading and playing without watching one's fingers? I have to memorise a piece because I find reading music and playing difficult.
@ThePianoKeys3 жыл бұрын
That is a skill that needs to be learned because you can't memorize everything.

Are you playing 5 semitones or 5 keys in a scale?
@ThePianoKeys3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean when I'm going around the circle of 5ths? If so, I'm playing 5 notes in the scale. 5 semitones would take me to a different note.

Elite music education hmmm, the best I can afford is a digital piano. Playing sweet pieces would help me successfully propose a girl, so I keep on practicing scales and arpeggios.
@ThePianoKeys3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't afford it either. I had to work very hard to get and keep a scholarship. We were very poor.

This is good for theory purposes, not for performance.
@ThePianoKeys3 жыл бұрын
That is a very general statement. What do you base it on?
@czror3 жыл бұрын
Tatiana, I think this is veery important practice in case you need to work in band , so that transposition without hesitation is almost a 'must'.
