I have learned alot by listening to this speech over and over again. This is the reality of what is happening now. Thanks prof. Chukwuma Soludo

This presentation ought to be made compulsory to all Nigerian politicians, University students and their teachers. If we don't follow these simple economic principles that has been beautifully laid down by Prof Soludo, there will be serious trouble in a few years to come.

Professor Charles Soludo is one of the brightest minds in Nigeria and silencing his CBN governorship was a cheating of Nigerians out of his God given wisdom for Nigeria. May his wisdom be enabled for us to benefit. I personally salute his courage to remain in the public domain to still offer his service to his people-the people of Nigeria.

Absolutely insightful. Fact is, going at this rate the future is bleak. We need an educated youth, that would tap into the pool of global wealth that technology provides. Soludo is, no doubt, a brilliant and articulate man. You would see he has really giving this a deep thought.

Same thing Omoyele Sowore has been clamouring. The only different is that, Soludo is brilliant in talking abt it, while Sowore is brilliant in being active abt it. A Lot of youths turned out at d platform annually, since it's inception. But we're not sure they understand anything the speakers are talking abt, talkless of being proactive . If you ask me how do i mean? How many Nigerians are supporting Sowore ideology... We're rather sentimental. The future of Nigeria is blink like this... Nigeria youths, wake up!

Nigeria- The counter narratives! is statistically evident in the level of insignificance of these bad Nigerians, if you put all of them at 10 million. For every bad Nigerian, you have 19 good Nigerians making impacts in their area of specialization. let's increase the number of good Nigerians by being good to further counter the current narratives.

It isn't that Nigeria lacks true strategists. There are plenty of them. The problem is greed of the few. Until Nigeria gets a true reformer like Donald Trump, who is ready to fight against the established system, nothing would change in Nigeria. We can talk, talk, and talk. It won't amount to anything.

hahah well thats your opinion. If Nigeria can not achieve small, measurable short term goals how is it possible to achieve bigger long term goals. its just simple common sense. Where are the vision 2020 they were shouting about few years ago. Im sure you have no clue, thats why Nigeria is in trouble.
@tolulopedahunsi43805 жыл бұрын
Talking is easy but where is the result, Nigeria the highest population and biggest economy in Africa, we have no reputation in international community, we have no system, no proper infrastructure, our leaders traveling to foreign land to get health care and here you are saying my comment is Myopic, still you are entitled to you opinion. All the best.
@elijahvictor40775 жыл бұрын
If you had listened to soludo, you would find that he spoke about all these things you just said. You think restructuring is easy? With all the selfish ethnic centered politics? We are in the right direction. Its one step at a time. There is still hope.
@tolulopedahunsi43805 жыл бұрын
@@elijahvictor4077 i never said there is no hope, i never said we do not have ethnic problem, what im saying is where are the results, the promises they made years ago? its easy to talk, they have been talking for so many years. As a child i use to listen to all their talks with my parents always optimistic about things. Yes we need to think of the future, but what about now. the decisions we make today determines what happens tomorrow.

please guys am i the only one who just heard emphasis exportation of our human capital... like seriously? "Nigerian Youth... ...A Potential Renewable Source of...Export" what??!! Are we now Commodities? How would you foresee a future where our greatest Export would be our human capital, and then we depend on their remittances. When we train our best minds and then ship them off like commodities to other countries and then wait for them to work in building those countries and get paid, so we could pinch of their earning. Which human resource would then build the #betterNigeria ? Please, doesn't it look like we are remodeling slave trade by this? I mean there are groups out there championing the move to bring back the #diaspora for #Nationalbuilding, now here is a veteran who happens to be on the revered #PresidentialEconomicAdvisoryCommittee talking about training our future leaders to be our next newly found #OilBoom in #Nigeria . I'm beginning to rethink my love for this new #PEAC Or am I kinda mixing things up, "iz like i doh understan" someone should help me out..

Ohimai-Uzebu, You're not mistaken. It's exactly what they're advocating. Don't mind these political jobbers who will sell even their own mothers for a luxury car. They don't have the interest of the people at heart. 21st century modern slavery.

What Soludo is saying is that we can use our youthful population (if well educated with contemporary skills) as an initial resource to provide essential services & digital skills in a competitive global economy who will not only supplement our earnings through capital repatriations and investments into our economy but also add gross value in the nearest future through the integration and economic cooperation that will become increasingly indispensable in the foreseeable global markets economy we have to thrive in. These are the official policy initiatives taken by the blossoming Asian tigers economies of today especially China, India and Singapore. Their smart youthful population were exposed to the dynamics of western economies and cutting edge technological advancements before repatrating and replicating these knowledge economies to leverage revolutionize and restructure the various institutions relevant and fundamental to the achievemen of their development goals as a progressive country.
@charlesugochukwu92833 жыл бұрын
You’re daft! So that’s all you took from his speech? He isn’t suggesting we export our best brains. He’s merely saying instead of sending semi-Illiterate youths abroad who go to other countries and see criminality as the only way of making a living, we should train them so that at least they can be useful to other countries and be sending back remittances.
