I could not stop smiling during this whole interview. Lucy is fabulous! I'm a big UConn fan so I've seen a lot of her and she is spectacular. But I really want to thank you, Haley, for creating this podcast. It's really the only podcast I listen to. I've been following women's college hoops since UConn won it all in 1995, so I love learning about the inner workings of all these fabulous young female hoopers. Your questions are great, your personality is great and your skill at probing the minds of these young ladies is superb. Please don't ever stop!

I’ve seen Lucy’s first two games at Carver Hawkeye Arena. She is a fan favorite. She runs like a gazelle. I have been going to Iowa games for over 40 years and am a Season Ticket holder. When all the pieces get familiar with each other and the team gels, they will be a tough out. Lot of potential here. Great team to watch with the fast pace they play.

Such a great interview.. what a beautiful smile.. I remember in 1988 my father putting a bball hoop on the roof.. but it was at 9.75 ft high.. it affected my shot.. so then years later.. a different hoop in the front yard, but on a hill.. that was really bad.. finally my sophomore year in high school.. he put a hoop in the back yard.. we measured it together to make sure it was 10ft.. even though it was a dirt court.. I still played.. I would rake the dirt.. measure out the high school 3 point area.. and play. Even with baseball I would throw in the back yard.. create a makeshift mound and pitch to a brick wall.. the baseballs were ruined in a month or 2 but I would keep throwing until the leather was completely torn off..because we couldn’t afford to buy baseballs. I hope you have an amazing season Lucy and enjoy the God given talent he has given you.. I imagine Iowa loves that you moved here.. and thank you for being an inspiration to many people! Billy

It's gonna take a little time with Hannah at the 4 now. I'm not a coach but id have Lucy at 1. Taylor/Kylie at 2/3 syd at 4 and Hannah at 5. I know we got a freshman big and they want Hannah at 4 but that's just me. Jan knows better then me I'm sure.

With a game like last night, Addi O'Grady is likely to get a lot of minutes at the 5. I think a healthy Syd will be your 2, Kylie your 3 and Hannah at the 4. The incoming freshmen are balling out thus far, which is a great problem to have for mixing and matching.
