Love the intro. Marcelito Pomoy is a treasure of the Philippines that needs to be shared with the world. He's truly unbelievable and unreal. He's incredible. He is the grand winner of Philippines Got Talent season 2. He lived in the streets since he was 7 years old, orphan. Your reaction was priceless! It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song, no classical training period, by listening to a recording by Celine Dion Andrea Bocelli. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks Philipino broken english, but his singing was self taught. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but not speaking those languages. Possibility even more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7 or 8, and now is married and a father! He is very humble, helping out his neighbors with odd jobs and repairs, even though his reported net worth is around $5,000,000 USD. His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

Yep, this is HIS thing. He’s so great with it that even we, Filipinos, who have heard him a billion times, still do get very surprised and amazed of how great he does it. He’s such a gem of a talent. The live part proves that he’s the only one signing it, switching at very tight intervals. If you want the recording where he sings both parts completely, it might sound just “fake” and less impactful. So when he sings this in America’s Got Talent or any live shows, he wouldn’t should backing vocals to support the other half. Great reaction!

Marcelito started singing when he was 8 yrs old if im no mestaken....while he was selling egg"balut". He is gifted of having a golden voice. He never tried to send school of music but only experienced of winning the singing contest. Until he became an X Factor Philippines Champion.

See below - He did "The Prayer" in an album with dual recording. It is spectacular. That thing he did at the end with his mouth is because the engineers were teasing him about his "female" voice, so he was "removing " it. =) Cheers.

He is a complete package. Please listen and react to his renditions of Power of Love, Endless Love, Perfect and She's Gone to see how versatile he is. He has a God-given voice which is soothing and uniquely resonant. He never had any formal voice lessons. He survived fully on his own - poor, uneducated and homeless - from age seven up to his early twenties. Despite his difficult life, he has matured into a humble person without any trace of bitterness and pain in him. He simply became adept by keenly listening and imitating different singers. He evolved and was able to further hone his special talent that led to his meteoric success. Thank you for the recognition and appreciation.
