If you want to watch an event worse game, watch the Texas A&M game. They definitely play hopscotch with the line between dirty and playing hard hitting football. That game was never in doubt due to horrible play calling from A&M mixed with a good D of Texas. It's rare to use a term spearing anymore in the day of targeting, but SEVERAL times guys was doing the majority of the game...

Watch them play Texas A&M, haven't seen spearing after the first couple years of targeting being called. They definitely play hopscotch with the line between dirty and hard physical play. It's obvious even on plays where there was no contact as stupid as it sounds. Really hope Texas runs the same offense I've seen in 5 games this year. 2 TEs going against cover 2 never once taking a shot in the middle of the field. The amount of low percentage throws they take based on scheme is nuts...

The media and some of Ohio St media love to overhype our opponents. I know I saw Clemson throw for over 300 yards and ASU have over 500 total yards against Texas defense. Neither of those were a fluke.

Michigan did everything possible on Defense to force Ohio State to run the ball. By making it look impossible to throw the ball and it far better for them to run the ball. They used 2 high safeties and put 7 in coverage against Ohio States 3 WRs.

If we tried to zone block we would have gotten destroyed by both teams. The scheme is helping. We are running a lot of counter and gap scheme. We are pulling tight ends to help and we are getting to the outside with our superior athletes. Our o line is playing well but if we tried to run Chips old run game with our line now we would have gotten beat bad. It was a coaching adjustment
