Part of me wishes Chloe left competition dance earlier and focused on ballet. Her lines were always so clean, and I feel like her passion would have made her an excellent ballet dancer.

Same here! While Chloe brought so much joy to the show, she and none of the girls for that matter should've been in such a toxic environment. Chloe's passion was in ballet from a very young age, and I feel that she would've been so much happier focusing on ballet at a better studio and not being abused every day on a reality show. You're so right, her lines were exquisite and with the passion she had for ballet she could've gone far.

God I remember watching this episode and fully thinking this must be one of the only times Chloe got positive feedback from a dance instructor that wasn't followed by harsh criticism. Chloe seemed like such a sweet girl, and even though her mom was a bit too aggressive for my liking, I appreciate the fact that she eventually pulled Chloe from Abby's company cause it was clear Abby just had it in for this child for no reason and she was fully just psychologically abusing her. I hope Chloe is in a good place now!
@loudemopsychic Жыл бұрын
When you hear behind the scenes stories about how much the producers harassed her to get her to react that way when they had basically just signed up for a documentary series about dance competitions? I can understand why christi came across that way. Because they knew that it would make for "good watching" the producers were constantly trying to get christi (and Kelly) to react by getting Abby to punish their daughters and because of their strict contracts they couldn't leave. Actually that's why in Chloe's final season (not counting the irreplaceables season) their relationship seemed even worse. I'm pretty sure Christi and Chloe had tried to leave the studio but due to their strict contracts they couldn't leave the show, and the producers told Abby they wanted to leave meaning they got treated even worse which made the show more interesting for the producers but I'm sure absolutely hellish for Christi and Chloe.
@stinks7065 Жыл бұрын
@@loudemopsychic Oh god yeah I didn’t even think about the contracts! Just horrible that the people making this show cared so little for these kids, the negative comments adults who have any type of power over you as a kid (coach, teacher, older relative etc) make can really do a number on you. This episode always confused me because Joffrey has some non ballet summer programs, but the episode keeps saying they are auditioning for a ballet scholarship. Yet they don't perform ballet variations (these have some ballet elements, but not really ballet), so I think they must have been auditioning for more than the episode discussed. That or they were given dances that were purposely not ballet to create drama.
