Hello I don’t know if you give free advice but I need some I have pond 15’x20’x18”deep had for many years and always green I know I have to many gold fish but I want to go all koi but need it to stay clean I have been reading a lot about bog filters they say 26-35 percent for a bog filter but what I’m having a problem with is how big in feet the filter should be an how deep here from 12” to 2’ I just want to try to keep pond clean I have a 3600 gal pump with 2” hose and if you can help do I keep 2” pvc in bog or go smaller thank you for your time Frank

Hey Frank - there are several different ways to build out wetlands & active bog filers. Some are 12”, 24”, 36” deep and on. Different styles, different results. Deeper the wetlands offer more biological filtration in a more compact space. With your flow rate I might suggest a larger active bog plant area up to 50% and really plant it up heavy!
