I know. Utterly filthy and left like that. Mould and crap everywhere. I could expect it if it was switched off and abandoned. But it was running on tick over! I bet in a few weeks it will look just as messy, some people are utter filthy trolls and just plain lazy. They could have got a pressure washer out, drained it and cleaned it easily enough, some pool cleaner and a bit of scrubbing and it would be done. If they cant manage that they should not have one of these things....

I mean I'm assuming they just bought the house.... And I'm also assuming you don't know how much it cost to run and maintain a hot tub either.
@Simon-xc5oy2 ай бұрын
@@QueenMotherTroll Well it will cost to keep it heated. And if you are not going to use it over winter or whatever, the sensible thing to do would be to drain it out totally, cover it and keep it switched off. Thus saving energy and not letting it fill up with leaves, crap and nasties! If you buy the house and its out there and you dont want to use it or dont use it much, then sell it on! Its common sense, which seems to have gone out of the window altogether these days in the Uk.

@Simon-xc5oyАй бұрын
@@SpyricaDragoste Yes I totally agree with you. And that then also shows exactly what sort of a person you are. It reflects on you. So if you pay a lot for a big house, and lots of nice things, and then leave it to get messy, dirty and run down, it shows you are a lazy, slovenly person. And that you have no respect for those things, and so probably little for people as well. And that you are arrogant and have more money than you need, in order to allow stuff to get in such a state as you dont care enough and dont need to. In other words, you are more than likely an arrogant A hole. I have met plenty of people like that, and they all fit that exact description of their traits. And this hot tub is just another example. Any one who is remotely practical or has more than one brain cell would have had the common sense to empty it out and switch it off. If only to save on electric and money. So I stand by what I said above. And paying someone to do a simple job like draining it, hosing it out and a bit of cleaning is just so lazy it sickens me....I am older than the two lads in this video, and I could and would have done that job with ease, if only to ensure I did not have a vat of bacteria sitting in my garden! Truly incredibly stupid....

I agree with you… mold, and mildew can be stubborn and you don’t know if they’ve actually embedded into the plastic…. That’s hard to get rid of and just because the water is running clear does not mean you removed all the mildew or the mold…. We just dealt with a dishwasher that wasn’t heating up properly and we thought we got all the mildew and mold because it looks fine and the water is running clear …. Nope, still hiding places and still growing. We just ended up replacing the whole dishwasher because it was easier to buy used dishwasher then try to not only replaced the broken parts, but also extricate the mold and mildew from the dishwasher …. The chemicals I would need to use would render it not food safe . I am too allergic to mold and mildew to let that continue .

But no, it can’t be that pool of putrid stagnant water… no… it’s definitely your neighbors woods

One of my neighbors just got a hot tub… The sad thing is , they’re the same neighbors who will leave their lawnmower out for two months and then not finish mowing their yard or get their landscaping half done and leave the wheelbarrow and tools out in their yard for six months… There’s one of their grandkids bikes, literally just sitting in their backyard not moving for over a month now and the rain we’ve gotten recently as rusted it all out (it was at the edge of their property in the backyard and I thought it was one of our four kids’ bikes, and they almost got in trouble, until I noticed it wasn’t ours)… They left a kiddie pool all summer under their deck and never drained it until the water was green and then complained about the mosquitoes in our yards wondering where they came from🤦♀️…gee, I wonder?! Now they installed the hot tub and I am concerned it is just going to be a mosquito magnet because I’ve not seen them, use it but once…. If I could afford a hot tub , I would be in it constantly during the fall, winter, and spring… I feel like it’s going to get gross like this because they don’t really take care of anything or maintain anything …. That saying a lot because I know we aren’t always the best at maintaining stuff but we definitely don’t let things get that gross…. Here’s to hoping our neighbors actually maintain their hot tub.
