The Porch

Күн бұрын

Do you want Jesus to be Lord over all your life, or just part of it? This week, Kylen Perry walks us through John 9 to show us that Jesus will meet us where we are, but He isn't just concerned with healing the areas of our lives we decide need fixing, He wants to make everything new.

Ahhh I'm so lucky God has unconditional love for me. Unless I don't submit myself to him and get eternally separated from his grace love and mercy :)

God does have unconditional love for you. Even if you don’t accept his grace and mercy, he still loves you. He will always love you, even if you don’t follow him.

@@rebekahaposey sincere question: are you saying that God loves those who have rejected his mercy and are in hell rn? Does that mean he can still show mercy to those in hell? Or is it unconditional love without mercy?

@@existentialTreat6 he does still love them. God doesn’t send anyone to hell, we send ourselves to hell by rejecting his grace and his mercy. It breaks God’s heart for people to have to spend eternity separated from him, but they do it to themselves. He still loves them. But no he doesn’t show them mercy in hell because they’ve rejected his mercy and now they’re paying the penalty for that. It he were to have mercy on those who are already in hell, then he wouldn’t be a just God, but an unjust one

@@daltonlala18 I see where you're coming from, but lol what? People aren't choosing to go to hell. God made the system on which unbelievers go to hell. If a parent chooses to beat their kids as a punishment , the parent is still making the decision to beat them. There is no gun to their head making them beat them. That also raises the question of the literal millions (or billions if we go back to the beginnings of humanity) of people who never had the opportunity to know God's mercy. All the people native to South and north America couldn't have known about Jesus until the Europeans started exterminating erm "evangelising" them. And if somehow indigenous people did know that there is one true god, and it was known amongst literally all, why is there no evidence of the god of Abraham in their cultures prior to European imperialism? Or the mid eastern and eastern Asians. Why did god only share the gospel with a tiny fraction of the world. Why wasn't it just everywhere? Or babies, babies literally can't make the choice to accept his mercy or are you saying there is a explicit rule in scripture that doesn't have to be recontextualized by other Bible stories that babies have a grace period? Or do those innocent babies who die as babies just automatically sent to eternal torture land. How is that just and fair? are you saying that the oh loving merciful god made the system that sends unbelievers/rejecting mercy folk to hell is the same loving merciful God who made the choice to not share the gospel with millions of people, automatically condemning them to eternal spiritual torture? The same god who created hell, and created satan with the plan of him always rebelling. God can't be surprised right, so he wasn't surprised satan was gonna rebel because he willed it according to his plan. Why did he wait at least 50,000 years before sending Jesus, condemning billions to damnation? And if we can't know the intentions and plans and machinations of a omniscient, omnipresent, all knowing diety, how can you know the intent behind anything God does.
