Forgotten "Ghost Canal" of Newmarket Ontario!

Well this video is a little different but I just wanted to present an interesting bit of history from the Newmarket area. This canal was built during a time period when canals were being phased out in favor of railways. There are many facts and opinions on why it was built but the bottom line is....this canal was never used and was a waste of taxpayer money.
