For anyone can’t find the merge shape option here’s how to access it: Select your shapes>shape format>(go all the way left) merge shape>subtract

little slower and more commentary of the steps you take would be a big help. I love the effects, but scrolling the video back and forth to dechiper your keystrokes or steps is tough.

When I paste the 7 circles it expressed as charts, gaps between them and the same size as main one. But in your case, you Don't have any gaps in circles and also the circles are smaller
