I like the fact that you mention that this kit should compliment a Bug Out Bag or Get Home Bag. This is exactly what I have set up as this kit should not be crammed into other bags, for easy access and not to take up valuable bag space. The inclusion of the decompression needle bothers me as to use it is beyond the EMT level of training in most states where only paramedics are trained to perform this. I guess this depends on of you want to carry it for those that may be trained, but I would have this as an option, not part of the standard pack. The kit should include a triangular bandage or ace type bandage to help hold wound packing. I would also add some 4x4 and 5x9 pads for less sever wounds.

Yeah the needle is beyond but if you have someone in a group qualified then they can administer

Where i live our market is flooded with so-called first aid kit. Proper kits here is super expensive. Would like too get a kit that covers minor too major injuries.
