That is a bit freaky to hear my sisters voice talking about being trapped with our father and her kids. She told me the story...but I have to say, she sounds calm (or trying to) while on the phone. she was a trooper.

Andrew Geier .. Really!? The one dispatcher lied & said that there were no reports of fire, only smoke, to explain why firefighters weren't on the scene.. When HELLO!? the whole place was in flames! A couple were being rude when this is the last contact this person had with someone before THEY DIED! They hung up on the one lady! I'm not buying it.. I think they're all in on it, even a few firefighters know the TRUTH!
@Stopstaring101

Andrew Geier They were doing a job they were well trained to do ... just like every first responder, some cops, every fireman, every army person, every ER doctor and the like. Do they get metals for keeping calm while doing their jobs? Hardly ever. You see, it comes WITH the job. We highly appreciate their efforts and have deep gratitude for their courage, but if we gave everyone a metal just for doing their job correctly, a job they were well trained to do ... well... then the specialness of getting a metal for exemplary work or achievement, meaning above and beyond, would not mean nearly as much to ones who are truly highly deserving and therefore sought out for the giving of a metal🏵

I don't know it was even possible, but they needed more 911 operators called in. They are getting overwhelmed and some are a bit short with people calling. On the flip side. Calling 911 in these conditions. Give address, direction of fire and size, distance, and if help is needed. 911 doesn't have the time for a long winded story. Don't wait around for help. If you can flee, DO IT!! These fires are now so big and move so fast. 10 miles away or less, starting thinking about a evac.

Omg i had to just stop the video i cant listen to it anymore… this was my big brothers birthday we were out celebrating and had soooo much fun. Then when i got home everything was fun but at 2:00 in the morning my mom woke us up and we where told to leave we had absolutely no time we couldn't even get our cats. No clothes. Nothing. We left and drove as fr away as possible. When we got to Sebastopol where my gma and gpa live i could the burning flames from the hill. Inwas crying just thinking it was my house… my cats… everything i loved and reminded me of my past… i was crying for my neighbors…my friends… my family. I thought i would have nothing and have to start over. About two weeks later i was able to go see if my house was there. I cried feeling how lucky i was and how i was blessed. I felt sorry for the people a block down from house. There houses were gone. Nothing but ash. I still cry sometimes thinking of how lucky i am. #SanomaStrong!

Same we lived in coffee park and we literally had 14 minutes to get out but the crazy thing is, is that my whole family including me would have died if my dad wouldn't have woken up coughing. By the time we left our neighbors house was on fire and everyone was going crazy outside. My cat was not found after the fires but I had got my snake it was so terrifying but I will always have a vivid memory of the bright orange glow from my backyard

I suggest obtaining the recordings of the radio exchanges between firefighters & dispatchers. I live in Glen Ellen, read about smoke in the air on Nextdoor, turned on the scanner & was horrified by all I heard. I alerted that list. We fled. My question: when will we hear what’s changed? Will PG&E turn off elect. next time? Will fire stations find the button to turn on their station alert horns? Will the region purchase night flying aircraft equipped for firefighting so we don’t have to wait days for others to provide what we should have? Will agencies coordinate, adopt national alert system instead of relying on contractor services that weren’t used when they should have been. Nor were they used responsibly. Sending out messages that people can return home when they can’t was cruel.

When people called 911 they were told, "You need to evacuate yourself. Evacuate now." Is that how an evacuation order should be received? Only those who call in to 911 get the evacuation order. What about those who managed to remain asleep?

I live in Santa Rosa and the city confessed that they were not prepared for any of this. The wind was 75 to 90 mph so the fire spread very fast. Even if they got an alert they would still have little time to escape because of the quickness of the fire. Im not trying to defend them because they cost some people there lives... but there are always two side to every story.

power lines arching due to smart meters. this never happened before the meters were installed DEW fires are hotter than normal wildfires, remove the smart meters this is no way to test them.
@babybrat2958
@babybrat2958 3 жыл бұрын
You don’t have any idea what you are talking about. Even if we exclude the last 10yrs of Fire history, 25% of California’s worst most destructive fires occurred due to power lines. Try researching extreme wind driven fires from California fire history. These fires are burning so hot because of extremely low relative humidity, high winds and an extreme over abundant amount of fuel. Wind feeeds a fire massive amounts of oxygen. More oxygen means a fire would burn hotter and with greater intensity. When a fire burns hotter, more complete combustion occurs. Research extreme fire behavior.

I understand I have to hang up. Just stay calm and die in peace. We have to prioritise the calls. Prioritise what, they are all being incinerated and surrounded by this fire. 'We'll let the fire department know' very sad indeed. They are giving the people a false sense of security.
