Katie, that baby is all ready loved by Jesus! He knew about it long before you did and he loves it. It will blossom and bloom and be the apple of your eye. My daughter got pregnant when she was 16. It was hard at first. Her grandfather told her it was ok, it will be wonderful, and he gave her a big ole bear hug! And that was that! Katie, I literally am crying my eyes out and want to give you such a huge hug! I was in your shoes 28 yrs ago and although it’s so scary, go easy on yourself. I raised my son alone (with the support of an understanding and non judgmental family) and beat myself up so much… BUT…..that self talk did nothing but take away joy…from me & my son. Even though this is a month old, I hope you guys see this comment. Good on you for being honest and upfront about being pregnant. I understand how you feel, believe me. I was an unwed pregnant 16 year old girl back in 1976. We did get married and, believe it or not, we are still married (I am 63, he is 65). Unfortunately, I developed complications and our son was born extremely early (around 25 weeks) and he lived for 8 short hours. We could have called it quits and were urged to do so, of course, but we bowed our necks and stuck it out. Not going to say that the going was easy, because it was not, but we both grew up together over the years. We do have twin girls who just turned 38, whom we are very proud of and feel so blessed to have been able to have them. I feel that you have a very strong support system and that this child will be so loved. Wishing the best for you and your family. Take care all!

Katie, stay close to God. I was pregnant at 17, and I had a difficult time. I did have a Christian mother who supported me, and because of the love of God and the support of my family, i had a healthy pregnancy. I was abandoned by my church family, and that was difficult. The thing I had to be reminded of was that those were people and not God saying and doing those things. Every one of us fall short. That beautiful soul growing inside your body is a blessing of God. I raised my baby by myself and it’s been the best gift of my entire life. Praying for you Katie 💕 Im your same age and I was in a similar situation last December, found out I was pregnant and my boyfriend left me at 8 weeks pregnant. It was a lot to process at first. But God truly had a beautiful plan no matter what, because this little baby boy (born August 10th!) has been the greatest joy and blessing of my life and has brought me so much closer to Christ. I found when I got down about it or down on myself, I would think of the little one and all the joys ahead and it would help me feel better. Well, I got pregnant at 16 and got married two months after I had my Son. I graduated highschool with my class as a married Mom, Graduated with high honors. Oh miss Katie! God gave you this little boy for a reason! Babies are NOT mistakes! They are gifts. For some reason God chose now for him to join you. Married or not! I was 18 when I had my first daughter! Her father left me once we found out about her also! It was hard but she turns 30 next week! I haven’t regretted one day of the life God gave me with her!
