There was nothing sweeter than Matt helping to get Katie's shower ready. It just made me tear up. Such beautiful decorations. I can't wait to see this baby boy! Congratulations to all of you. I know y'all are excited! Get some rest. I once had an older lady tell me close to my delivery date that I had better rest good. She said you will never sleep the same again once the baby is here. How right she was, not because of a crying baby but because of your prayers throughout the nights for it, your concerns for it as it grows up, and constantly checking on it throughout the night even when he wasn't crying, and even when they get older. Let me tell you this Mamma thing isn't always easy, but God is right there to guide you through. As a mother you are constantly praying for your children. Congratulations! Babies are Blessing from God!

Katie, I’m also a single mom since the day of conception. Your baby shower brought me back to my own when, from the very beginning, the Lord surrounded me with support from those who loved me. 13 years later, He has continued to take care of me and my daughter every step of the way. He is the best husband and provider any of us could ask for. I’ve been reflecting on His goodness and provision lately. This month alone, He ignited the Church to help me replace a leaky toilet and damaged subfloor at no cost. A week later, I went to pay my mortgage and it was $200 less than usual. Then this week, I opened the mail the other day to find a surplus check from my mortgage escrow for $1500. Who needs chocolate and roses?? 😉 Now, I don’t want to mislead you, it’s not all sunshine (or chocolate) and roses. My mother and I have been praying for months about the bald tires on the car, the toilet/floor situation, the broken dryer, the torn up AC ducts, the house needing leveled, tuition for my daughters school, etc etc. The list is quite long. But it is not daunting because I have a good husband and provider and He reminds me regularly that He will not leave me or forsake me. He promises the same to you and your boy and He is faithful to deliver. I am praying for you and your baby. In case you haven’t read it lately, I found a lot of healing in the book of Hosea during my pregnancy. God bless you and keep you.

Oh wow such fun .. Thank you for sharing !! I remember we had our shower for my one daughter. It was all in pink for an expected girl as per 3d ultrasound just days before. To all our surprise out came a beautiful baby boy. Grandma at 11 o'clock at night from the hospital was mad dashing it around town shopping for new born boy clothes and blankets as my daughter was crying, mostly thru exhaustion that the nurses had put him in the pink clothes she brought. I can't wait to meet the bundles of joy that are coming to bless your family.

😂The same exact thing happened with me when my youngest was born in 1993. Ultrasound said it was a girl, took all pink stuff to the hospital,and the cutest little dress to bring her home in. Ended up needing an Emergency C-Section. I woke up just as they were wheeling me back to recovery and I asked about the baby. They said it was a boy. My mother had to go buy some outfits so I had something to bring him home in.😅

My daughter didn’t want to know what they were having and she was so sure it was going to be a boy that my granddaughter went home in little boy clothes. She was in Colorado and all us grandmas were in Texas!!
