Because of this episode I am thinking about unsubscribing Print. Usually i don't comment much but i feel this is much needed. Print is another example why the Delhi media is so disconnected with Tamilnadu. It is not because you are in delhi it is because of the journalists from whom you get the data. DK as a senior journalist should know how to compare the data of the voteshare. If you want about the contested seats then you should take about contested vote share and not the whole vote share. Contested seats in alliance depends on the seat sharing and the seat sharing depends on the strength of the Party. BJP moved from 3 percent to 11 Percent and polled around 50 lakh votes which is not all easy and BJP is third largest party in Tamil Nadu. JMM formed the government in Jharkhand even thought it got less votes thank the BJP since the contested votes share.So it is all about the contested voteshare. Print can ignore my message simply without doing anything but SK should educate his team on how to read the numbers and how not to Manipulate it. Follow the same logic for every state. I agree that BJP and ANNAMALAI needs to struggle a lot to archive success but it does mean that you just ignore this achievements in voteshare. Really unimpressed video. BJP in alliance with PMK and DMDK got 18% votes in 2014 with 2 seats. Though they lost DMDK in 2024. they broke AIADMK and roped in Sasikala, OPS and Dhinakaran. There is no great improvement for them in 2024. They lost the 2 seats that they won in 2014, including coimbatore , lost by Annamalai which was won by BJP in 2014. The 3% vote share in 2019 is because they were alloted fewer seats by AIADMK in alliance. Like every thing with Annamalai, it's only hype. Such propaganda is mostly being done by his IT cell!

Maybe because BJP and DMK have softened their stance against each other in the wake of new political realities. Both DMK and BJP know that they need the support of each other on various issues - for their own vested interests of course. BJP needs it at the center, and DMK in state. That maybe the reason why Annamalai have been put into cold storage for now - until next election.

Respectfully, I think this is the first time I feel DK JI isn't congruent with state politics of TN and the role of BJP. Annamalai is the one carrying the BJP's cross in TN and not the other way round. I sincerely hope DK JI can put hope more resources (or additional help, may be ?) on Southern politics. TN is of the least concern for BJP leadership. Why? they secured a secret partnership with DMK towards 2029 election. Now, it is Annamalai's own efforts matter to win his votes in TN in 2026 state election. BJP is not very keen to gain TN election in 2026 as they will benefit in TN one or the other way. Whoever wins in TN, BJP wins, given BJP already is in soft partnership with ADMK which is DMK's only rival in TN. So BJP is secure (secretly) for the next decade. All they have to do is make sure there's no leakage in BJP'S current ruling states.
