Sir, the HM compared Dr Ambedkar to Hindu God. To begin with this should be a compliment to Dr Ambedkar. But further he said: Worshipping God in the same manner as Dr Ambedkar can get one into heaven. And that is where HM stopped. Congress thinks,it is an insult to Dr Ambedkar implying that worshipping Dr Ambedkar will also get one into heaven. So, Congress discovered a new icon's worship as a way to heaven. No problem.

Nobody including Dr B.R. Ambedkar is above criticism. In his writings and speeches, he had criticized many persons and communities. One cannot expect that he should be shielded from criticism. In fact in his last speech in the constituent assembly Dr Ambedkar had warned against bhakti and hero worship in politics, which his followers should always keep in mind but forget when it comes to him. Having said that there is nothing in the Home Minister's speech about which a reasonable person could take offence

The Constitution of India has given freedom to everyone.......But understand even Fundamental rights in our constitution have "Reasonable restrictions" - Freedom of speech and expression has reasonable restriction - against hate speech.....we can speak anything unless and untill it hurts sentiments of any community because we all have right to dignity........What Shah said in the Parliament was wrong (in the way he said)....he could have conveyed his messg in a better choice of words......there is always a thin line between criticism and hate or derogatory speech......The way he said was wrong........In our Fundamental Duties we speak of cherishing the ideals of our freedom fighters but if we start criticising them itself.......never forget the deeds of BABASAHEB......his work his intellect way ahead of times.....you should even have reason behind criticising somebody....It wasn't easy for him to go through all of that injustice still he with the power of his education rose to higher places in life....and today he is no less than a saviour to us (Dalits).....plus women , tribes, workers and the entire nation....!!!!!

He wasn't asked question....he wasn't criticised in the right sense....instead he was compared to god by Shah (for reasons we all know)......there must always be a constructive criticism of things....be it god be it Babasaheb.....who said you can't criticise......Babasaheb itself has given you the right to critise him or anybody (even god) but there are some limits to what you can say and how you say.....Babasaheb knew he would definitely be criticised for whatever he does by a particular section of society...If he would have been fearful of that...he wouldn't provided us all with right to free speech and expression.......There is always a way to put forth your views.....you can't outrightly hurt sentiments of people
