In my state of Himachal almost 100 percent have got the first jab. US had to withdraw. It could not win. It was just money going down the drain for a hopeless cause. Both the right and the left were opposing US interventions and stuff. For Biden as a politician it was a good move (some mistakes were made during execution though). For the US it was a good move economically. Dear India, firstly, great job on Vaccines, finally. On the other hand, re: AFPAK+ China, no matter what US says, US fundamentally does not and never has, liked India, fundamentally due to racist reasons, as well as India's pro-Soviet/Russian history. Those who do not think so, need to spend more time in the USA and observe how the Indians Immigrants (S/W Engineers included) are generally kept at a distance on social interactions, yet being fully utilized for there hard work. This will probably change in a couple of generations but currently, is not the case. Anyone who underestimates this dynamic is a fool. ISIS will be a threat to every South Asian country and I highly doubt that Taliban will have much control over them.

I think ISIS provides an opportunity for regional players to cooperate as they(ISIS) are not very fond of National Governments. And any promotion of extremism will only burn the social fabric of the nations.

@@abhiagarwal7171 that's true. Nd they are far more cruel than any other regional terror group. But ISIS believes in Salafi ideology and they are very strict about their interpretations of Islam. I believe Deobandi ideology is closest one to Salafi ideology but even Taliban have fought war against ISIS so I highly doubt that they can have many recruits in South Asia on ideological basis. But I think their financial strength would be very helpful in gathering recruits especially when 90% Afghans live below the poverty line. Also, ISIS have been defeated in Syria and Iraq. So they might be gathering all strength to gain ground in Afghanistan.
