As Pakistan prepared to mark Yaum-e-Takbir, its annual celebration of its 1998 nuclear tests, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif admitted Pakistan had betrayed the Lahore Agreement he had signed with India. That agreement offered an opportunity to ensure the two nuclear-armed states never ended up in a war. Instead, Pakistan’s u-turn on Lahore has meant both countries inhabit a dangerous, nuclear no-man’s land.

They'll never tell you because the idea was to arm india and make it as a disciplinary power to pakistan but the opposite just came to light and everyone was bitter while can't do anything about it Had a pakistani never thought a head of time we would have seen american forces on the ground doing what it's best known for "regime change" while being hosted in india We've seen Afghanistan for instance america stayed for 20 years to reinstate taliban even stronger than what they found

Stop living in delusional world if indian propaganda. American had been on record there was no way to stop Pakistan from making nuclear weapons. It was a very thought out plan from the very beginning. Pakistan nuclear sites were literally impenetrable. American even thought of dropping millions of mines to make Kahuta non-functional at the end it was decided it cannot be done.

American use German scientists and their experience to invent technology for nuclear test, the same technology transfer to UK and France, USSR use the said technology and experience for their nuclear bomb and transfer it to China. India use the same method and test their nuclear weapons........ Pakistan use the latest centrifuge method. It is the known fact that the first use of a science method is called invention and later are just copying or stealing the invented technology and India is also one of the countries involved in stealing nuclear technology.....

It was the Communist Chinese that hand delivered a fully functioning plutonium bomb along with its design along the Karakoram Highway , from a test in Lop Nur in 1966…handed over a plate to the Pakistanis who were overjoyed. Chinese subsequently also brazenly proliferated miniaturised tactical nuke warheads to the Pakistanis . All this happened while self declared Americans and European Non Proliferation warriors looked the other away , it happened in broad daylight 😂😂😂, making a mockery of the NPT and NSG. 😂😂😂😂

Indians must not forget that Pakistan is country of 230 million people. Was divided into two, encountered Operation meghdoot in 1984, have insurgency perpetrated by RAW, continuously facing anti Pakistan government in India which has adventured in balakot and has ambitions to minimise Pakistan due to its weak showdown in recent elections. Most of the Indians think that India can coerce Pakistan due to its economic and political vulnerabilities. I would say they are badly mistaken. In case of any misadventure, Pakistan will respond resolutely and forcefully without thinking about the consequences. I am not saying all this out of some wishful myth but determination Pakistan has to reposed against Indian aggression. 🎉🎉🎉

Military establishment and political class in Pakistan uses their power assymetry with India as a justification for the increase in defence budget and their rent seeking behaviour which results in corruption and public offices for these individuals. Development and economic growth is a casualty in this vicious cycle. These conditions along with rapid islamisation of society bred militant and radical organisations which threaten to disrupt the status quo resulting in continuous increase in resources for the uniform. External patron which provides diplomatic and security cover is also required. Earlier, the US played that role now its Bejing.

It is said that while qadeer and bhutto started before zia took over but it is zia who mainly made and completed project by 1982 , within five years of his takeover . But this effort of peaceful nuclear technology goes back to time before ayub . Munir Ahmed was charged with delaying nuclear not enhancing it . Qadeer did not steal anything and charge of proliferation he denied . I would not write more but presenter must read book by kausar niazi , aur line cut gai , who was right hand man of bhutto . It is not a well researched presentation

But one thing which presenter fears underneath is correctly that reckless focusless coalition under Modi is ideal for nuclear confrontation . As long as pathans fear pakistan india reconciliation will reduce political space and economic benefits on both sides of border on afghan durand line reconciliation cannot come , same hardliners in india need to be tackled first , then will china like pakistan india detente or will iran like it , EU might not too .. nuclear confrontation is writing on the wall .

This Status quo is OK for china too. As long as india is landlocked in the north by pak and China it won't ever be a full fledged regional power let alone a super power. It will always have to rely on the west for support and we know how west supports😉. Given that india has begun to lose friends in the region since 2019 like the afghan govt in 2021 and recently in maldives. Nepal, bangladesh are also on their way to distance themselves from india. This policy of maintaining this inherently futile status quo is going to cost india a lot in the long run.

1. Pravin is giving us the same message, though in nice words, that Mani Shankar Ayer delivered rather crudely a couple of weeks ago!! Anyway, what else one can expect from sickular gang in this country? 2. So let us be clear - first, India should NOT have anything to do with Pakistan- no friendship, no investments, no trade; any trade with it means we are financing terrorism against us and drug smuggling inside India. Second, let us watch how internal issues of Pakistan like Baloch and KP movement is sorted and Duran Line is renegotiated with Taliban. Thirdly, Pakistani civil leadership is shameless. Nawaz signed Lahore Agreement with Vajpayee and his Army launched Kargil operation. Thirty years later, Nawaz is trying out the same thing with Modi!! Fourth, J&K issue is over after Art 370 is abrogated. The only issue that is to be sorted out is reunification of GB into India. But that will happen on its own; why bother now?
