uracontra koenig that's so funny because he's every high schools gay kid honestly there's nothing incredibly special he's just on the extreme end of the spectrum. He's really cool though it makes me sad I was ever mean to anyone although I realiZed at like age 22 everyone has something to offer.

There’s also the dynamic of his high IQ to factor in, which homosexuality does not magically grant by default. Not to put him onto some sort of unearned pedestal, but Morrissey happens to possess traits pertaining to creativity, introversion and high cognitive ability, all of which - relative to the wider population on average - are a rare combination in unison. It’s this mixture of traits that account for his ‘fascinating’ character type, at least in my view.

Lots of people like to say he is gay but I think it's obvious he's bisexual (I think he had a fixation on Linder Sterling at one point), it wouldn't surprise me if one day especially after he passes if someone tries to say they are his hidden child, but I think he ended up never having any, from what we know of him it wouldn't be like him to hide if he were a dad

What a great interview! (so far I've only seen this 2nd part). Morrissey seems to be such a reasonable and likeable guy - someone you would like to talk to for hours and have as a friend. He is very eloquent and seems to be very aware of who he is, what he stands for and his own strenghts and weaknesses/shortcomings. A very honest interview.

Even if I don't agree with all of his opinions, specifically the statements he made later in his life, I think there is a beauty in being able to look up and aspire to be like people we don't fully resemble in values or culture or whatever else in ways. I live a lot like he did as a teenager except I obsess over other topics besides writing like drawing or singing, and he gives me hope that a shut in like me someday can have hopes and dreams to become something.

I've been trying for awhile now to figure out what was up with the whole celibacy thing. The more I hear him talk about it in these older interviews, the more I am convinced that something bad may have happened to him as a teen or young adult. Of course it could just be that he has been hurt and therefore doesn't have any interest in relationships but I'm afraid it seems more likely that he was molested, sadly

He was molested by his p.e. teacher, he revealed that in his autobiography... also read somewhere that he admitted to losing his virginity at 13/14, which is objectively really young, so it makes me think there's even more to the story than he's willing to tell :( i hope we're wrong about that though

@@rattatouilletherat It's a theme of so many songs... also "Miserable Lie" and "I Keep Mine Hidden" ("I'm a twenty-digit combination to unlock with a past where to be touched meant to be mental" - as people who'd been molested often struggle with any kind of physical contact afterwards) kinda says a lot... I feel like these bad experiences as a teenager/young adult really affected him and it took him a great deal of time to figure it out ("Dear God Please Help Me"), how to enjoy sex & intimacy. Unfortunately, yet another thing I can relate to
