Just got it today, pretty satisfied with it It has a nice design It came with free 8 gb ram installer 512 GB storage i5 processor Windows 11 Free Game Pass Free Permanent MS Office Key Nice 15” display (I think it might be 15.5”s) For it’s price it is a really nice laptop that can run low to mid games well. I played roblox and it can average 160 fps and can run genshin on decent terms.

I just got one for around 350, but with the intel i3 11gen using it for coding . The screen is better than a lot of budget laptop and I'm telling you this you won't regret it. I added another 8gb of ram making it 16gb suitable for more photo editing and more games. Have not try gaming yet, I'm sure it can handle some amount. Grabbed this one for coding with 16 GB of RAM and Ryzen 7 5700U. 8 cores. The only 2 things that can be a bit better are the screen and battery life. All other things are great for a budget laptop. I mean, it's a budget laptop. For that price, I mean... It's a no brainer. It's flying. For $600 US... It's amazing.

I got intel I5, 500Gb SSD, WIFI5, Bluetooth5, 8GB DDR4 ram, it does everything anyone could want except super quick online gaming, the screen resolution is better than expected and far better than my HP Pavillion by a lot, the keyboard is also better than the HP Pavilion, start-up is about 5 seconds on WIFI, downloading apps is almost instant, it is very light and runs cool (temp tested) the fan is the quietest one I've NOT heard, it came with windows 11, im used to windows 10 but find windows 11 better, the speakers are not the best, not tinny but not Bassy, apps can increase the bass, I use Bluetooth speakers so it's fine and connects automatically to them, I paid £449 at Argos UK if you buy this laptop, you will not be disapointed, the only negative things I can say is. the caps-lock doesn't have a light in it (YOU GET A MESAGE BOX ON THE SCREEN FOR 2 SECONDS) and no inbuilt card reader (I USE A USB STICK CARD READER) the fact that it is £200 cheaper than other laptops of the same spec mean's I can live with them two slight negatives. I've played WW2 AIRPLANES and the graphics are seamless and smooth, no jitters or buffering, runs just fine and that game is heavy on the CPU

I had acer aspire 3 since 2019, i only used it for web conferences and ms office. Now I’m still using this, but it’s super laggy. It’s definitely a good budget laptop only for basic performances cause it’s using Celeron CPU. So always consider what kind of work you gonna do. If you’re design students/ or anything that requires heavy duty performance (programming etc) I do not recommend to buy in 2022.

I bought one 2 days ago, with AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 16 gb and 1tb ssd, namely Acer Aspire 3 A315-23-r7zd. I installed windows 10. First impressions - noisy fan (which improves quite a bit once you / windows update the drivers, but is still noisier than my other/older machines in that price range), a sharp front edge, that is just against you wrists (the one I have on a Lenovo ideapad3) and the most annoying thing - the wifi adapter keeps crashing every 5 minutes. If anyone has any ideas where the issue might come from... Bottomline - even though on paper it looks more or less fine for the budget, given the issues I wouldn't recommend it. .

I own this & have only 2 complaints. The silver paint easily wares & scratches after about a year since i started using it. It's sensitive to nails. The webcam picture quality sucks for both video or stills. It's not HD 1080p like their LCD screen. which is HD 1080p. So why can't the webcam be too ? Weird. Otherwise it's good enough. A decent laptop at a cheap price.

I've been using Acer products for years, the last one I replace due to gradual slow down was over 10 years old, worked fine until then, another older one is 8 years old and runs fine. I have the Aspire 3 and it works well for me, not a gamer so that is not needed. No need to spend almost 1000 more for features that are not needed.

Im using the aspire 3 right now. And personally I would buy something thats better quality. The first two or 3 months of having it the plastic hinge connecting the keyboard to the screen somehow broke?. Thus making it alot easier to break.

I happened to use several Acer laptops over the years, better than Lenovo imho. My last one died Feb 2024, it dated back to 2005. It had Celeron 1.6 Dual Core, 2GB soldered RAM, 160GB HDD, wifi, etc. 15.6' I ran 32-bit MX Linux with two browsers, LibreOffice, Thunderbird, Vivaldi, etc., on it, no trouble. Mostly online banking, email, word processing. And the kids played low end games.

Yes that's what I use it for Ableton Live I upgraded the ddr4 ram and use an external hard drive to store samples projects songs etc. therefore allowing me to use the computer's power for the DAW it works lightning fast I'm very happy for the price

i have an aspire 3 with ryzen 5 7000u and it runs some AAA games prety smooth on low end. it also run genshin at around 30-45fps at med high settings and 60fps on low. though expect laptop heating when gaming 60frames on high graphic games

I would disagree with some of your points on this laptop, it quite littearly smashes the competition in this price range and even some a few hundred more it has a better processor, the Lenovo isn't even in the same class as the aspire 3 half the ram half the storage and the processor is nowhere near what the aspire 3 has. Got mine today for 369 at staples that's a smoking deal considering the others with close to same specs are 599 and 699. Good vid tho thank you!

The AMD Ryzen laptops have much better battery life. I would get one with a Ryzen 5000 or 6000 series CPU.

With the celeron. Battery life is 2 hours. And that's only when typing in google docs
