Great review, and I never even knew something like this existed and it really can help you get the most out of your ISP. My internet drops all the time on Sky and this would really help. Just one question though. Can this be used as my router instead of my actual router? Because I like to use the TP Link AV600 powerline for a wired connection without having an Ethernet go through the entire house. Just one Ethernet from the router and into the wall and one Ethernet into my pc and into the wall upstairs. Would I be able to do this with this AX11000?
@TheProvokedPrawn4 жыл бұрын
It doesn't have the modem. But you could run the ethernet from your Sky router into it and then the ethernet out for the power line. You know that powerline adapters can be an issue though as they rely on wiring in your home and signal can flux based on simple things like power surges. Also if the issue is with disconnects and poor service into the house then upgrading the router won't help. Have you talked to ISP about the issues?
@slaysi4 жыл бұрын
The Provoked Prawn Thanks for the reply, my internet doesn’t disconnect but I only get around 45 mbps on average with Sky Q hub when I am paying for 75 mbps on average. So I was wondering if buying this new router would increase the speeds to what I am supposed to be getting? Also I forgot to mention that my power line adapters are plugged into a surge protected extension lead.

Ok. I have this router. I also have a great deal of WiFi speakers throughout the house. I use a USB 3.0 Flash Drive hub to run all my digital albums/movies thru my speakers/TV, sort of a poor man's DLNA/NAS setup. My question is, how do I name the different flash drives, so that I can tell which drive I'm accessing? The router itself assigns each drive default names, but I want to assign names so that the speakers app, and the TV app will display the names I chose. So far, I haven't been able override the default naming scheme.
