Kyler Murray is definitely generational, especially given his size. People forget how truly gifted he is just because he has been injured recently and the team has had so many issues with their roster/losing. I think people also forgot Kyler Murray is so talented that he was drafted in the first round for the Cardinals AND Oakland Athletics, he could've been in the MLB or MiLB. Glad to see him prospering again so far, and how goofy of people to write off Marvin Harrison Jr after his very first NFL game. Not everyone can just have a career trajectory like Justin Jefferson lol.

Love the high quality intro - coming up in the world! Seriously, this is one of the few channels that actually explains “Why”. In Six Sigma, there’s a concept called “Five Why’s” - meaning, keep asking “why” to get the right level of depth of understanding. Basically no one does it with football, and I’m a huge nerd who never played who just wants to understand. So, thanks.

I think MHJ actually was at fault for that last route you showed or miscomm. You can see that MHJ re-stacks taking the route up rather can continuing his angle however Murray makes the throw based on his initial angle.
@mitchweber78684 ай бұрын
So he re stacked right at the jump at the line? Or into the red zone, because I didn't see him readjust going into the end zone???
@sethb65924 ай бұрын
@@mitchweber7868 If you look at 22:22 (green line) and 22:31 Murray hits that green line. MHJ starts just on top of the number arrow above the 10>, attacks inside leverage by 1 yard, makes move/cuts angle between the 6 to the 4 yard line taking 3 steps along that green line (Murray releases ball at this time basing it on the angle), then at 22:30 the 4 yard line he begins to attack back interior (you can see him lean into the corner) "stacking" back over the corner instead of continuing the angle (3 steps) turning head but ball ends up 1/2 yard to a yard out of an "easy catch". This is a perfect go route technique as you want to end up with a trailing defender and you can adjust to the ball while using late hands not much the defender can do. If Murray put more air under it and further it would achieve the same thing but Murray saw the angle of MHJ (4-6 yard line) wouldn't leave much room on the boundary and probably opted to put it in 'hot'. Ultimately great route by what looks like a very good rookie and a great ball thrown with trust just minor miscom that results in a slightly out of reach ball. Rose bowl a couple years ago MHJ ran two very similar routes to this for TDs difference is college ball is a helluva a lot slower.
@mitchweber78684 ай бұрын
@@sethb6592 ya it was just baaaaaaaarely off! Really almost complete if mhj turns around a split second sooner too no?? Because don't tell me he's not good enough to make that adjustment, because ya Kyler doesn't have much room to throw. I have been wondering about this does stacking mean, kinda push the defender away, but you don't push him, you kind of just get in his way and maybe bait him to the inside and then he goes back out? The rose bowl against Utah?? Because that's my team..... I'd like to get to know more college film actually, but usually I only watch this channel and maybe AlexRollins and chase Daniel, all NFL film...
@sethb65924 ай бұрын
@@mitchweber7868 MHJ probably turned as early as he could. He turned to locate the ball as he began stacking but I think he expected air on the ball giving him the time to adjust (typical for college). Stacking is for go routes as you want to give QB maximum room to make a throw. WR attacking outside leverage and after beating DB continuing straight up field with DB in trail position so the QB can put the ball over top of the DB. The WR likely closes a couple yards towards the boundary but after beating DB stacking prevents loss of space for adjustment. The issue with using this technique in this type of a route (hot fade) is the throw is done with anticipation based on the angle that generates initial space. If you watch this below at 39 seconds to 45 seconds you can see beating DB off the line or in tight cov and continuing the angle at which you beat coverage puts the DB in 100% trail with no ability to contest the catch. Stacking is more like the route at 1:49 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKTFk5Sll8pmpc0 Jefferson stacking after go route at :20. Jefferson at 4:32 is a go fade where he does not stack and eats the room between his starting position and the boundary kzbin.info/www/bejne/maHclIKedsZ_ppY

Both the linebackers and the corner were in position to play both routes in their zones. Pretty much looking at an absolute laser beam and that the receivers hands are touched by God. Any air under that ball is asking for trouble. Pretty much nothing there and it was well defended other than lack of contain.
