@@ryancoverstone6283 Yep. It was a throw away because he didn’t want to take a sack at the 6 yard line. One guy landed right at his feet after he threw it. But had he held on to the ball and looked for his third option, Thomas late over the middle, he would have been criticized for having no pocket presence and taking a sack. Carr is “damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t” with the group think mob mentality cry babies.

The Disaster Games have really become a flashpoint for your channel and I have to imagine you have mixed feelings about it, but I just want to give you the entirely due credit that so much of what makes them so hypercompelling is that you're so funny J.T. Lots to learn from what people are doing wrong, just like what they do right, but there's a spark listening to you do something like roast Carr for looking like he's hobbling to the bathroom after he just threw a TD to the Jags.

Because of the early season OL troubles Carr is really gun shy right now and is either check downs or happy feet. The WR and AK have made some dump plays/routes. Pete's play calling was better, not great this game. Pete's living in the past. He's not changed since the Payton era.

I Just subscribed to your show my friend & I want to thank you for breaking down these plays for the average fan to be able to see the poor decision making overall by Carr. I counted nine different critical errors Carr made that either killed drives, caused the pick 6, or missed guys who would have caught TDs the other night & you just showed about 6 of them. One thing fans can tell is when a play looks bad. The first thing they do is holler about the bad play calling. But in two of the bad plays you described, Carr audibled from the original play into those bad plays. So if the play calling was bad, it was because the play caller who was in those cases Carr, made a bad play calling decision. The man simply cannot defeat cover two defenses something which i personally witnessed Drew Brees do for 15 years straight. The man threw his way into the record books by attacking & feasting on cover two zone defenses. He also always & I mean always knew the hot read on every blitz & got the ball to the man who was left open. You made a clear illustration on the misread of the play when Michael Thomas was left open & Carr didn't even think about getting him the ball. I know you are correct in your assessment that receivers should just do their jobs & shut up, but this kind of crap has been going on since the beginning of the season & we're going into week 8 with a losing record against the easiest schedule I've ever seen the Saints have. If I were the Saints wideouts, I'd be mad as hell about the way Carr is playing & his piss poor decision making & lack of trust in his players. We have three of the best WRs in football & it is impossible to tell that fact because they are being choked to death by their own QB.

@@jansjr Uh. I’ve been seriously watching football for almost 50 years now. Carr’s “happy feet” was nothing like Goff’s was. Did you notice that Foster flattened his route and had he not done that Carr’s perfect throw would have hit him in the numbers? I noticed it and said so out loud when it happened. Foster said he flattened the route in the post game interview and said that that was inexcusable. I have not heard one of these talking heads mention that. So I am observable and Carr does not have a problem with happy feet. He is a pure passer is at his best when he is winging it. Maybe he should just ignore Carmichael and call his own plays from here on out like he did in the 4th quarter.

Some of this feels a little Odell-circa-Browns where, if the QB did his part on the plays where the WR was a big win, the sore thumb plays and body language from the WR wouldn't be memorable (think Odell drops on 4th downs for Browns vs all the times he was open when Baker wouldn't look his way). Olave could've easily had 100+ and a TD this game. Doesn't absolve him of all sins but, hard to say his level of "work" is incapable of producing results. He's still winning out there. Like, it's so picture-esque that Olave gives up on the route before looking back, and Carr throws that route before Olave gives up, and Olave is immediately vindicated for giving up. In reality it's still not okay to do, but you could see how someone would come to that conclusion.

As a Raider fan, this breakdown epitomizes why I’m happy we moved on from Carr. He has great moments, but doesn’t do the average things right consistently. Can’t miss Olave on that seam route, it looks open before the ball is snapped. A QBs job is to lead the offense, and a leader can not lack emotional control like Carr does.
@CSM_Kobeni
@CSM_Kobeni Жыл бұрын
Josh allen throwing helmet to ground, Tom brady constantly yelling at players, Aaron Rodger constantly yelling at coaches, Patrick Mahomes always putting his hands up for a flag. All QBs show emotion but mostly cause the camera is always on them. You are just saying that cause carr is playing bad. All QBs get emotional when shit aint going right. Even when my favorite team was doing bad...fans were talking so much shit when he would turnover the ball all the time and not care. That was the reason we pushed him off the team. Now he is leading the lions this year...

@CSM_Kobeni_Fan yeah but all those quarterbacks you mentioned are far superior to Derek carr and all his teammates know it. if that were Brady or Rodgers giving lip to Kamara and olave it wouldn't even be mentioned, you have to earn respect from your teammates before you have the ability to critique them like that, especially when the likes of olave and Kamara are far better in their roles than derek carr
@CSM_Kobeni
@CSM_Kobeni Жыл бұрын
@@itisfinished4U I cherrypicked those names because they were the best in the league at one time. I could say players like mac jones, dak, big ben, etc. you missed the point where i said that all QBs show a bit of motion. Carr is getting spotlight cause its a thursday night game and his team was the losing team in two teams that have a chance to make the wildcard spots.
@itisfinished4U
@itisfinished4U Жыл бұрын
@@CSM_Kobeni I didn't miss the point, when you have a very limited history with your team as derek does and what history you do have you havent exactly been good you as a man and a teammate do not have the respect of the men around you to say anything to them about their performance in a heated manner especially on live TV in front of 100s of 1000s of viewers. He just doesn't deserve the respect of the men around him on that team, I hope I'm wrong but his abysmal play with the saints thus far hasn't earned him that right.

I wish that we had more vocal leaders in the locker room to get this clown out of here. I will never understand this free agent pick-up. Derek Carr was the worst signing this past off season. I thought it would change after the Green Bay game. But it didn't. JT keep telling the truth. Great lecture.

So on that first play where he slid the protection to the left and told the running back to cross and block on the right, it looks like the lineman messed that up. I know you said that blitzer off the left is hot and Derek carr has him but if you look it seems that if he slides the protection left, the center and left guard both block the same guy and peat (left tackle) never disengages and slides over to pick up the blitzer. Technically he has 6 to block 6 cause that other linebacker did not blitz. Wouldn’t you say maybe he thought it was blocked because he trusted that the slide protection should have blocked the 3 on that side?

Good stuff. One slight disagreement on Moreau's now infamous drop in the end zone. Watch again slowly and the ball was needlessly overthrown.
