How can you tell when salmon is done and what temperature do you cook it on? I never know.

Leah you can see on the side of the salmon as it cooks, it will turn a lighter color. I add the salmon skin-side down, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Fry for 3 minutes, then turn the salmon over and fry for a further 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through.

Could you do the pot roast in the crock pot the same way?

You could cook the roast in a crock pot. However, there is something about an old fashioned pot roast. As the liquid evaporates, the roast gets all caramelized and you keep turning it every now and again. Then you add a bit more beef stock and repeat the process over and over as it cooks all day. At the very end, I remove the lid to let the liquid evaporate off and there is a little fat in the bottom and you let the roast gets covered in all the drippings which have concentrated the flavors. Remove the roast and make the best gravy. OMG

Happy 21st Brithday From Shey & Kevin!! Hope he had a blast!! OMGOSH girl I’ve got to talk to you about these coupons etc. Where you get them and how you get so much stuff for so little money!! Maybe Kevin and I could actually afford a go sitter and a vacation if I knew all you know Ha Ha!! Our Anniversary is in August it would be nice to get a Dog sitter and go some for the weekend together!!! I was doing veggies but all after trying to do it all alone last year it nearly killed me..I said no way this year!! Ha Ha!!! I’m gonna take me and my fever back to bed wanted to catch your new recipes love the crab cakes Hey where you get that bread from You Know the bread I told you about is only 2 smart points it fairly cheap @ Walmart it comes healthy with fiber and flexseed or plain or several other flavors what I like is the bread is thin!! As Dr. Hyman explains bread should be a treat not a daily thing!! Ha Ha He’s right too..Hey in those cupcakes how much sugar was in 1 of them I’m curious..Never found a low sugar cup cake Hee Hee That clam chowder looked so good I made homemade a while back and learned there’s just to much sugar in it I had to go to bed because it knocked me out Ha Ha taught me I love Clam Chowder it don’t love me!! Dawn we have 3 biological sons and one kind of adopted son. In addition, my mom who is on hospice lives with us, along with some family members who are staying temporarily to help with her care. Currently we are a family of ten. We have a lot of family that visits too. :D Shelby

I lost about 25 pounds which was my first goal. I have had a few stressful months with my mom passing, traveling a lot.....I think I may have gained a little, but I am ready to get back on plan. I love the new feestyle program. :D Shelby

How do you handle the rom rental situation? You and ken, boys and girlfriends. Do the boys sleep with their girlfriends??

Crystal that is a great question, we get a suite where Ken, myself and the girlfriends sleep and then a second room where all the boys sleep. As the chaperoning parents it is our duty to honor the girlfriends as they were our own daughters, we are their advocate in their parents absence. And it is our duty to our boys to encourage them to treat their girlfriends with the utmost respect. Despite Ken and I having strict rules, we always have a lot of fun on these trips. Shelby

I’m a mother to two little girls and one little boy and while my husbands family is quite liberal, mine was very old fashioned and I wasn’t allowed to sleep over anywhere. I continue to feel very judged for being old fashioned about sleeping arrangements and your solution sounds like a wonderful way for everyone to have fun together in an appropriate way. Yay for you- I love this idea!!
