And then she has an American accent while singing. The whole thing just sounds so transparently silly. Wonder why people from other nations don’t develop Indian accents - curious how it only works one way. ;) It’s a pity because she was a real natural, endearingly unaffected. So to see her put on this persona is quite jarring. Similarly, it’s clear that she’s rote-learnt answers to many of the questions to the extent that her answers are sometimes wrapped up abruptly. When you go into an English speaking country and are surrounded by people with different accents you will naturally pick up their accent, its brain's coping mechanism. (If there are say 100 people with american accent and 1 guy with indian accent then its obvious that indian guy will pick up their accent and vice versa) I have a brother living in USA for about 4 years now and whenever he comes back to India for vacations he also switches from american accent to Indian accent quite frequently while talking. Its a thing you subconsciously pick up and theres nothing wrong with that.
