John, thanks for sharing. You're a gentleman and a scholar! lol. I love it when someone cares about what they are doing and are willing to share with others.

Nice one Bud, as you say, all you need to know about TheraBand. I noticed you wet the string/band a little, so its easier to pull through.

I wish all “instructional” KZbin videos were a quarter as clear, succinct and useful as this one was! Good on ya’ mate! Cheers. 💯😉🍻
I bought some bands of the net and was shooting all over the place 😩 After watching one of your vids about the importance of tying the pouch on properly I had a look at mine. They were quite wonky, put together with no attention to detail. Put some others on which were tied uniformly and instantly huge improvement 🤗 Going to start making my own from now on. Thanks pal !!!!

Excellent easy to understand video. I was a little Leary of using bands as I've never made a slingbow, but after this I see it's very simple. Thx!!!

@Gatewrights hi there, yes they all get send with the bands measuring 25cm each side (not incliding the pouch) i use the bands this long myself and have taken lots of pheasant and rabbit , however i will cut them to whatever length the buyer wants, all the best john :)

This was amazing! thank you very much! Step by step and didn't skip anything. I just got into slingshot/catapult and aim to be good enough to hunt and kill an animal (rabbit) by November of next year. The only reason is that is the time a year that I hunt for the deep freezer and I will not trust my aim enough this year. I dabble in woodworking and I made my own slingshot/catapult and I aim to put two bands of gold on it just like this video. I am going to make my own lead balls as well. I ordered a .531 inch/13.5 mm mold and I fear that I have gone to big. (I would rather a larger ammunition choice since I am new. I made my slingshot/catapult out of three pieces of "top choice white wood" from Lowe's that I glued together. You seem to be a expert in this craft (in my opinion.) I am just wondering 1) is my wood choice correct or should I not shoot it 2) are two gold bands the correct choice 3) should I shoot the 13.5 mm or did I go to big. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and love your videos!

@boozedleader i did cut them at 30cm long by 2cm wide, but when i release my new multiplex range in around 3 weeks time i will taper the bands and shorten them so they are more powerful at a easier and shorter draw, john :)

@handyandygsxr hi, i tried using a razor blade before i got the rotary cutter & to be honest it made a mess of the theraband, scissors are ok but you have to be realy neat because it will tear if its not in a perfect line, for best results use a rotary cutter, they are around £5 each on ebay, if you are making more than 1 catapult it would be worth you getting 1, I have tried using the tapered bands and the strait bands and carn't tell the difference between them, john

great vid mate, i have to make me 1 of those band holders. when i put my bands on it takes for ever to attach it with just my 2 hands.

Hi great video, I recently got some theraband gold from e bay and want to make a sling shot, can I cut the band with a razor blade? and is it better to cut the band wider at one end and fold it in half length ways like some other people on You tube?
