Just saying, this story doesn't happen directly after Cold War. Cold War campaign was 1981 and MP was 1984. BO6 happens after the first part of BO2 in 1991. Edit: MP was '84.

Probably they didn't want to play that fast and loose with ages. That being said, I was thinking the same.
