why diesel and electric loco attached together

Chironjit Paul The usual route is fully electric, that’s the WAP loco. There was a problem, so the train took a detour between Raipur and Jharsuguda via Titlagad, which is non electric. The diesel locos just used for this part, at Titlagad the direction changed hiwever after Jharsuguda the WAP continued as usual upto Howrah.
