@Pia Tshering I'm sorry if you didn't get it but my point is that we are the younger ones need inspiration we need to see some one who really proud of by who they are a role model who says it's okay to be proud of your roots and it also can be cool as well. The media around us do every thing to make you give up your identity. I'm not Indian and I never been to India but I love how she inspire little amarican Indian girls that it's okay to say I have Indian roots without being ashamed of your culture. I'm Austrian Egyptian and I hope that some one told me that two years ago when I was afraid to mention my Middle Eastern roots you know why cause ones you say it the stereotype image start to show which can make the highschool a nightmare. I'm 17 and I hear the kids from my class saying (Here's the terrorist b*tch) that's only because I want to reveal my true identity and stop being that fake cool girl who pretend to be some one else just to be liked. May be you older and have more experience than me I respect your opinion but we need more proud Indian more proud Latinas , Asians and Egyptians. I'm so sorry for this long answer but I have to say that some girls need to encourage to stop being cool and just be themselves. And I'm sorry to if my English is not fluent.

Dude.. Wtf.. I'm Indian and brown skinned myself and fken proud of it.. There's a reason why dark skinned people are considered exotic.. Dark skinned doesn't only mean black people.. @Priyanka Selvanaayagam agreed.. A woman is an army in herself and that's why our society and our own parents fear us or for us.. I respect our history, culture and traditions which portraits men and women both powerful in it's own ways.. For me, being a Punjabi Canadian I grew up listening to hybrid bhangra which fused traditional and authentic bhangra with hip hop. Hybrid Bhangra works for me, and its really cool to see this version of fusion. I don't think people understand how diverse india is and because of that diversity there seems like infinite potential for these kinds of fusion music to emerge. I also think its special that you can write the lyrics, be a part of the instrumental creation, sing the song, and then also express yourself dancing to it.
