Watching this makes me wonder when Paradox will just implement a division limiter feature due to popular demand. Seriously, *every* time I play this game without a division limiter the AI just death stacks everywhere, and I am forced to constantly do naval invasions in a desperate attempt to spread the frontline out and find new ways to push into enemy territory. It's absolutely mind numbing, and is a big reason why late game is so extremely unfun.

I built a simple mod that doubles the price of civil and military factories to solve this problem (also makes infrastructure a little cheaper). That vastly reduces the spam and makes everything run more smoothly as the game gets into later stages.

They are adding a way to tell the AI to buzz off in NO step Back DLC. Basically, you press a button in a state and the AI will either send very few divs to not mess the supply or will ignore it entirely

About the term Kaiser : that's just German for Cesar, just like Tzar in Russian, there is no reason to apply it to the ottoman unless you are German. On the Turkish claim : yes the ottoman sultan did claim the title of emperor of Rome BUT this was in the sense that they conquered the "land of the Roman" i.e what we call the Byzantine empire. So a more accurate translation would be emperor of Greece, it wasn't a claim to being the heir of Rome. Unlike the German Kaiser of Russian Tzar.

After the collapse of Byzantinium, Mehmet the conquerer assinged himself as kaiser of the Rûm, his plan of Italy campaign was about revive the roman empire as the Ottoman empire so its not cursed at all. But in fact he thinked this idea back to early in the new age

honestly the attrition in great war redux combined with supply consumption is like....the perfect gameplay representation of trench warfare. Its also unintentionally one of the best demonstrations of why being super faithful to the reality of trench warfare isn't gonna result in something fun

Stipulation: you must be at war with the second faction within 6 months of declaring on the second and you must be at war with both at the same time. To the Ottomans, they were Rome since they conquered Constantinople. By doing that, they would be inheriting the legacy of the Roman's. In fact, for a long time, they would be confused if you called them Turks or Ottomans, as they considered themselves to be Roman.
