Yo alex. you should go to Focus on China immediately and justify wargoal on Sinkiang and china simultaneously. After finishing the focus, you declare war on Shanxi and use manual controls to make them capitulate in several days. (The reason why I dont suggest justifying wargoals is if you do that, Shanxi will make a lot of troops even though they do not have enough equipment, which is hard for you to deal because you have the debuff) After Shanxi capitulated, you declare war on Xibei Sam Ma and join the Comintern at the same time because you share a border with Mongolia. Then you can call the Soviet Union into your war against Xibei San Ma, Sinkiang, and China. You dont need to worry about the peace conference, because you have cores on these lands, so the soviets wont take any land from you:>

I did this once with the base focus tree, i had a similar idea to you but I waited for japan to invade before I did and later attacked japan with the Soviets, japan just cycleattacked themselves into exhaustion lol.

Just dont do anything until the japanese invasion, then join the chinese UF. After defeating Japan leave the faction, join Comintern and declare war on the Kuomintang. At last, let the Soviet Army do the rest.

Usually I justify on Shanxi as a core annex them and then the Comintern by improving relations and sharing border with Mongolia which is in the Comintern, then declare on Japan while they're fighting the Chinese united front after defeating them, I declare war on the Chinese united front. I use playerled peace conferences and can usually unite china by 1940 this way under mao

As Alex said the Great War but I'll warn you in advance that if you're playing Germany be prepared for Belgiums 80+ divisions and for the second treaty of Frankfurt (The treaty that is supposed to negotiate peace if you make France surrender) to not work. If you're playing as Britain be ready to be able to do nothing on the Western Front because Frances and Belguims armies take up all the supply.

I don't expect good pronunciation, but hearing you read Shanxi as "Shan-zee" makes my ears bleed. In Mandarin Chinese, the "x" sound is similar to the "sh" sound, meaning Shanxi would be pronounced something like "Shan-she". Thank you for reading this!!

When I was playing as shanxi I was in a faction with China... but for some reason whenever I do this and win the Japanese war the game ends and China takes all of my territory. (All the other little Chinese countries are there but mine gets taken) I’m not sure how or why this happens :( is there anyway to stop this whilst being allies with China?
